well take my 2 last lurchers , bryn my 1x collie x grey, bryn at 9 months old, had caught 100 rabbits, he just had that knack, his strike, and pace was very good, he still knock over few rabbits 10 year old, he died at 14 year old .Now Big Buck , could catch rabbits at young age similar bryn , he was the same, ok he wasnt bred just as rabbit dog, but he had good strike and pace for big dog . i say at 3 -4 years old he was on fire, he catch and hold big things, feck me he bring back foxes to me lol , when he got 8 year old, he lost bit of pace. he 10 now he just like a mooch at night for 40

your right mate, i just dont GET this size, people keep saying his small . lets GET this straight once and for all, Usyk 6ft 3in , 100kg= 15st 10lb. now the great man Ali was the fookin same size, after his ban when he came back he put on weight, as lost that bit of speed. i still think fury will hold all 4 belts, put it think it could be is hardest fight of his career deff, i really hope they get it on this year i deff pay to watch it, lets hope it comes off, as all boxing fans would love to see it.

Is it on April 29th= Fury v Uysk or more bull shit, in Wembley if they dont, they both got fights this lined up, I think that's what happen, for some unknown reason they won't fight, but think Fury will hold the 4 belts, if they 100% going to fight I watch it.

Spot on, like alot on this hunting site, been hunting with lurchers a long while, me 35 years, in that time if l am honest, they didn't want you on there ground 40 years ago, and nothing changed. Only now since the Ban with hunting dogs went though England / wales, it got 100% worse to try work a lurcher, the ban made it easy for a farmer or keeper to give a big no to you. I used to go round lot of farmers asking and even done 8 years beating. But the rife lads always given the nod from keeper or farmer, they shoot a rabbit, than ferret or lamp with lurcher. Yep, deff a collie thing, with them watching you all the while old Bryn I had the 1x collie x grey, was just like that. And very easy to up set, say the wrong thing, and you was fooked, he stop working, big Buck very sensitve as well, I think it trait in all herding type dogs, there very in tune with there owner. Both good in cover, Buck go into thick Bush etc if game in there, he smashed though door to get a fox, yet when not hunting quite in kennel, good with people /dogsike said on my doberman post, he not dog aggressive, he don't like to fight any dog, yet full with his quarry. And me, like bold pup. Another thing, get the pup out on its own, without its litter mates there, then you really see how bold it is. If say you only after a male pup, just do the above, this litter sounds not bad x, I like drop of bull in the x. And I like drop of collie as well, not over keen on salukis, but it be watered down any way, they had great stamina, and good feet, but from what people say they can be very aloof, but like say the collie and pit, might put that right.

yeh, old post, but i did see a bit of that vid, think it was youtube with the pat x whippets , they were black about 20in racey but weak things, i liked them alot. was few years back , so not many about now i think, but deff nice little x for rabbits , rats, and prob up for a Charlie , the none ped male whippets down the track , were game little dogs deff.

Well read your thread on this post, and the thing comes over to me, is 2 things, 1st the dog age 13 month old, and the breeding. It a long dog, there not going to be that biddable, as other lurchers, the only sight hound that are clever, and will work with you are whippets, what you already got, 2nd it's age, I know you got it at 8 month old, I know this is young, but with say 9 week old pup, you mold him into your mind set, and it by time he. 7 month old, he know your the boss etc. If it was me I stop all playfighting with him, just do lots of training with him. Yep, nice 2nd gen 1x pit xgrey, make great lurcher, enough pace, not bad wind for this type x, I have seen few race 1xs, there not all 80lb heavy things, plenty 70lb dogs, that kill and cat ch foxes, day/night.

None, just being around them, and give them nice easy attention that all they need. Most my colliexs, liked to play with a ball, my. Bullxs weren't that bothered, most lurchers, sighthounds, have nice calm temps anyway, not like you playing with full on apbt lol, even if they got some in them, it be watered-down with greyhound in them.!

you could be right last fight he was 15st 11 lb , maybe fight 15st 5- 6lb , he be quicker and not gas out with the extra 6lb on him. his size 6ft 3in 15 st 6lb, was the same as Ali size, people forget that, i hope they get it on this year. They can Davie, my old bitch I had lurcherx lurcher most whippetx grey, with bit of collie, she still knock few over in the lamp at 12, OK not long hard runs, but she good strike on her, nice size 24 1/2in 50lb good pace caught few daytime hares when young lived till 14. Big old Buck ageing quicker than her, but he lot big dog, and I think big dogs age quicker, sad but true. ?
