  2. Is it one of trunks from of here, is so should be good, he put some work into his dogs?
  3. yeh nice pit x boerboel , there more healthy than bullmastiffs , and mastiffs , but all mastiff types are unhealthy today , far to big and heavy, drop good pit in there , should drop that big size down, and make it more healthy at say 80-100lb animal , nice bitch be good guard, and family dog, plus no shedding dog hair either , Buck only 1/2 gsd, and sheds his coat a lot .
  4. Spot on mate, I've said on here before, that the dogs that have kicked off on Buck are labs. Was 3 males, 2 black, one red one, Buck not dog aggressive, he don't want a fight, but them twats went for him. It got to be in the breed, that 3 different people with male dogs up for a fight, only the other week a male lab was hackles up, walking past Buck, so it deff in them. I think poss, poor training, and show lines, because when I used to beat, the labs I seen were well behaved, with other dogs. These were all working line bred dogs, plus the owners were on top of the dogs, not cruel, but firm
  5. It's 1st time, I've heard a woman owner of male dogs say the above penny. Norm the women I've met who got male dogs, seem to want to castrate them as soon as the dog 9 months old. I actually got in a big argument with 3 women on my dog walk. The both had male afghan hounds, they had them on the leads, the one had restrict type thing on the dog muzzle, prob stop pulling etc. Anyway I had Buck loose he no prob with people or dogs, he friendly type dog, not a fighter, walk round the corner and they were, Buck went to them, they both tried to grab him, he moved back stood still by me. They st
  6. Fair point that, OK Fury got not bad skills, and moves very well for 6ft 9in.19st man, but Uysk got brill skills, don't forget not lost any of his fights, at cruser, and he makes heavyweight easy, Fury super heavyweight, but Uysk still big enough to stop Fury.
  7. Ali, Uysk, are the same height= 6 ft 3 in, and both fought at 15st 10lb, Infact Ali was at his just under 16st, just like Uysk last fight. You prob right Fury will beat Uysk if they fight next year, but Uysk no fool he know what Fury will do like did to wilder, maul him about with his 19st, and hope to ware him down, and he prob will. But he get in close and counter him, and got enough power to stop Fury, and Uysk could get 4 belts he wants, let's hope all the bullshit stops, a d the fight next year, I deff pay to watch this one. ?
  8. Cracking dog that Paul, bloody shame she copped it that night. I've had few get killed at night. I had brindle 3/8 pit 5/8, grey, drop down out cold. Wasn't dead then had put him over me shoulder, fook me that hard he was dead weight 75lb, walked 3 feilds with him got him home he died next day. Brain had orange, I said next fookin dog be little whippet x, but Bryn 60lb, Buck 88lb, thank I never carried him home no nights lol.
  9. Well, if bit a dog, like he does a fox, he bust up there ribs deff, you could be right mate, suoppse it good he big daft thing. I heard as well, that dog later grabbed a bloke who was going past the keepers house, a bad bite as well, not sure if cops were. I involved?
  10. Wouldn't like to bump into them, one bad enough, me a mate was chased one night by one mal, feck me, they bloody full on dog, 70 lb of teeth coming at you. I got in the wood, and got just after me, thank feck stopped in the field with dog, I got Buck with me was going though wood in the dark. Fell over about 3 times I held him on the lead, don't know what he do if that mal come in after me, not sure if he protect me, he big daft bugger, OK he powerful dog, lot bigger and stronger than any mal, but them things are head bangers ?
  11. Lol, good'un, and like it's a stray followed me home lol. Mind you I've had few strange looks with Buck over the years, the one morning, I been out early just about go light, when Land rover was coming down the lane, it was a keeper and a mate. Buck bumped into fallow, heard the noise, put it behind the edge, to pick up later. Anyway was walking down track got torch in my inside pocket. Buck jumped the 5bar gate, as the keeper seen him, he said that your dog, I said yeh, he a watch dog mate, he must have followed out in the lane. He couldn't say nout, as it public path, he said OK,
  12. Deff mate, took Buck out with old Bryn when Buck was pup, let him watch Bryn catch few in the lamp, done 1/2 dozen times, then when Buck was about 6 months old, and getting bit of height to him, one night put the lamp on, rabbit got up middle of feild, Buck pulled me, he deff seen it in the beam, slipped him he was right on to it, 2 turns got it just before the edge. I've always said he pick rabbits up easy for a big dog, his height at 28in he see alot down the beam, the strike on him was like old Bryn, both seem to know when to hit the rabbit. He deff had the knack at hitting his quarry,
  13. And to honest mate, people who struggle paying bills, and trying to keep there house warm, won't be going lamping rabbits, if they go it be after deer, or setting nets for salmon. Or in reality, they go for somthing that would bring far money than game ever would. I reckon few people could easy get coppers knocking on there door, and won't be for poxy rabbit hare, deer. Going to a terrible 6 months for lot poor people, bloody shame.
  14. yeh mate, i know what you mean, it bad move for any new pup to compare to your old dog. but suppose now i am older , and not so mad headed lol , i prob be bit more easy with it. With Buck i was out lamping with him 2 nights a week, rest 1 day, then he up for it again next night?, this was long hard nights, with lot of runs , out in the day mooching, getting foxes, birds, rabbits, so he deff seen bit o action , but he old now he slowed down , but if seen a cat of fox he come to life lol , pity they have to get old mate .
  15. thanks mate ? , hope me next lurcher , if i get another, will be as good has him, i am 70 now , maybe to old for another lurcher pup , when the big lad gone.!
  16. That's it mate, most on here just think of his size. And I be the same true, but the dog done more, and caught more than any of my other lurchers in 36 years I've kept lurchers. That why spoke of his size, he made it look piss easy picking rabbits up. But he old now mate, 10 maybe couple years he be gone. He struggled in heat like every dog as.
  17. I ve been the same with all my lurchers for 35 years, enjoy them and what they have done when I've had them, all have something to rembered for. But this dog now Buck, deff ticked more boxes for me than the others, deff more in the field, and his temp, never had dog before with such nice steady nature, good with people/kids and dogs, so I deff won't forget him in hurry.
  18. Dont think it will ever happen now mate, think Fury will just go for Usyk now, and like say Aj think will retire from boxing, carnt see him figthing unless it was to get them belts back. Fury will hold all 4 by next year.!
  19. i think it be far better fight Fury v Usyk deff, Aj get decked sat by mid round, i think he then walk away from boxing with all his dosh. Ithink i read that Fury like to fight Usyk dec, or early next year. And i think your right Fury be to big and heavy on him, he wear him down, then knock him out, i have bet on that outcome .
  20. He looks it as well, there always been the hunting/hound in S/A. But the dog that always been proper guard dog is the Boerbol. My mates got Boerbol bitch, that hell of a guard dog, you deff not break in to his house, she a very powerful animal 50kg, the males go to 70kg. Way to big I think, both breeds ridge backs, and Boerbol's got lots of health probs, and both alot to buy. ?
  21. i might be wrong , but i think it was a rottie that killed him. think the bloke had 3 , not sure why it turned on him, but these big feckin 100lb plus breeds, abd, xl bull type pit things presa borebel etc , it only question of time before they started killing people , feck knows why people need them, a collie, most herding type breeds guard, and if it goes wrong you can pull them off you , mind you a full on 60-70 lb bel mal a handful for any man.
  22. spot on mate, my big dog Buck, always been soft with dogs all his life , ive said few times on here , ive had dogs kick off on him, and he just moves away from them he dont want any trouble . But the same dog would kill a fox, bust there ribs up with one bite no prob, he brought them back to me like a feckin rabbit lol . i used to him now he 10 now, dont get wrong i did find it hard to understand him really, big strong 28in 88lb dog , have dogs pick on him, never fight back, but like my wife always said to me, thank your blessing he his, or he be nightmare to take out, he could damage any
  23. looks nice bit of ground that, dogs can get good stride on to the rabbits, your coming on well , not bad pace for a pup . i see all the b/w fences , just like our feckin fences, you have get your pup jumping them when its bit older. what i did with my pups, once i got bit of obedience in to them , and they got bit of size , jump small fence no b/w , then when happy with that , i used to put my coat over the fence and get then doing that. my big dog , was great jumper when young , 8 months old jump anything, 5 bar gates etc no prob. funny thing where i live now in the a different area , b
