was out getting some milk and bread at Co op by me, when a bloke with big male akita , on other side of the road, when a bloke with a collie type my side was walking past. the akita nearly dragged the bloke across the road to get to the other dog, it had harness on it, he couldnt control it . i said to the bloke with akita , you want to get bloody collar on it, and strangle the bugger, he might think twice about it. only breed i know you want stop pulling on a lead to get at another dog, are apbt and few staffs, ours would pull on lead never stopped our staffs and pit from pulling on a le

I always like a walk on a full moon with a lurcher, done it now for 35 years, and still like it. Went out last night 10 pm with Buck , i take me small lamp just in case lol, .Buck was out in front, i go on these few fields by me, i find a hole in hedge and pop in lol, never much on here the odd rabbit, or munjack or fox, but norm dont see alot when out, but thats ok it just nice 50 min walk for Buck before i feed him , and shut him up in his kennel for the night. would a beddy x grey , have better coat , and more robust frame , to handle thick cover etc, and handle anything it might bump into.? i always fancied a 1x beddy x grey , think they are about 23in 50lb from what i read about them, make norm even litter , downside i found was getting one, not many about, norm its like the post on here, they norn beddy x whippets not beddy x greys .?

Nice pup that like drop of bull in a lurcher, do you think the pit dropping the size down a bit.? My 3 I had all made 26 in, t hat a 1/4pit 3/4 Grey, and the other 2 were 3/8 pit. 5/8 grey, all 3 came out of Joe smlth stuff from Brum.

On the money Keith, getting out any type dog what ever the breed at a young age 9-10 weeks old is the crack. They got to be oblivious to sheep, they got look at them as boring white things. Just out of intreast mate, what do you prefer in the akita, the USA or the jap dogs, OK the USA look more of massive strong animal, but I should think the jap dog poss more healthy and functional. I always remember when I got my big dog as pup, because he 1/2 gsd, I asked would he get HD like lot of gsds do. 2 vets told me wouldn't get it as bad as pure, because he hybrid. you get the odd few husky's by me, only ever seen one akita , that was last year. the dogs were kept on the leads, both with different people , neither could be loosed off with dogs about, the husky's would piss off the bloke said lol, he had 2 of them, one was deff sharp with dogs, the akita was big fecker, thought my dog was big, but thing that was massive do some damage .Now there this thick woman who supposed o be a dog trainer expert crap, she meets up wit about 4 people with all dogs fookin loose, your talking about 10 dogs runing all over the place, ok there not dog aggressi

i did read few years back in the Richard Stratton pitbull terriers books, where they fought Akitas v pitbulls , and the bulldogs always beat them. the younger bulldogs, who not fought much would grab them anywhere,akita got thick fur and strong bones, there were deff handful , to your average type dog to handle. but a full on type dog like proper game bred pit 40 -60 lb , had them in trouble, i will say this regards Alsatians = gsds that a well bred 80lb gsd with good nerve , it have hard job stopping it, my old 1x gsd x grey not got nasty bone in his 28in 90 lb body , feck me he s

prob , could have been teething all a long, might have got most through now, but the odd one giving her bit prob, maybe that why all biting stones mind you, ive know few people , that there older dogs chew fookin stones etc, we had nice size staff , big leggy type dog, looked very pit looking, but was staff, he chew stones, bricks etc , you had to keep a eye on him in the garden , few labs will eat stones as well, mind you the feckers will eat anything lol. glad the dog took to the bones mate .
