  1. I'm not too sure about that, most of the decent kennels I know of have none of that blood in whatsoever.
  2. Nice while I seen them AT I'm guessing these pics are put up late at night while intoxicated and then removed once you've woken up?
  3. Can't beat looking back on old photos Chilli, brings back all the memories. And Rob I've said above the blood that's in them. Stevens/ Gould.
  4. Mainly Stevens mixed with Gouldy stuff I suppose they would be.
  5. Young bitches, half sisters, out and about today.
  6. Looks a lump for its age DC. Is it's sire the white dog you go out with?
  7. Anyone that posts pics or comments on an open hunting forum should be as willing to take the criticism as much as they're willing to take the compliments, that's what these forums are about. Stop ending numerous dogs is bad practise in any straight thinking terriermans books. Don't take it so personally.
  8. Am I missing something here? All dogs look worked and a pic of each dog in the same dig?
  9. Do you mean the old Bellman FD? I still have two of them that I use. The black dog's a fair lump, is it a relative of S Ellis's 'Mud'? As it sure looks like him.
  10. I'm not too sure exactly how terriers became such a big part of my life, but I do know they have took over it. I eat, sleep and breathe the bloody things!
  11. 14-15" and strong with it is my perfect type of terrier. I'm not a lover of these 18"+ monsters, they're nice to look at but when it gets down to the nitty gritty their size is a hindrance in most earths and they make the job more difficult IMO. At the other end of the spectrum, a small bitch with no chest is handy to have for your rabbity spots but at the same time that's usually the only job they excel at.
  12. Donnie Brasco is good, The Road has just been added on there, that's a good film too. Making a Murderer, Fahrenheit 911, Cowspiracy etc. Plenty of gems on there, it's just sifting through the shit to find them.
  13. Like Neil said I think it will be a rare plate, however it's easy enough for people to say it's worth hundreds of pounds BUT finding someone that will pay that money is a different ballgame.
  14. Fell Terrier is without doubt his greatest book. Shame Gould, Brightmore, Stacey etc weren't included mind.
  15. The most difficult place we used to find to catch rabbits on the lamp was golf courses, they were like shit off a stick!
  16. It's a strange one Marshman and surely one that nobody really knows the answer to. This little tale has reminded me of something my original 'mentor' once said to me. I had a first season terrier that really started well, he was going great and I ended up going on invites with lads to big old earths with a reputation about them, such was my belief in the young dog, and he always got the result. Anyway I remember being out one day digging and we were talking about an earth that goes to 12/13 foot deep, and this 'older lad' said I'd be able to dig it with my young dog, I said he must be jok
  17. I think Didriksen's writing style isn't too bad, however I think there's a few untruthful tales in his first book. Also, sure I read on here a few years back the he had someone over with dogs or something a few years back.( F Stacey I think it was)
