  1. Hate him all you want but he'll bring United success and trophies. Be careful what you wish for, Moyes is a drab mediocre manager and managed to attract one player in his first Summer(Fellaini), Van Gaal's team was the most spiritless, empty, boring team I've ever watched. Mourinho's team win consistently and (usually) win well. I doubt many other managers could have attracted Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Matic and also manage to keep De Gea. As an afterthought, who would replace Mourinho and bring success?
  2. I feed minced tripe and chicken in the main tbh. I know everyone says chicken bones are fine but I just feel uneasy feeding them. And like you say, you can pack a lot more weight in with mince.
  3. Greedy terriers are my worry with carcasses.
  4. Yeah 98 was a good WC. Even England weren't too bad!
  5. There was a real good crop of players in the Italian league late 90s to 2000s. Nedved was top class, rarely see wingers like him nowadays. Del Piero, Vieri, Trezeguet, Zanetti, Djorkaeff all good players that were fantastic on their day.
  6. Lionel Messi has got to be the best and most gifted player ever. Full stop.
  7. I feed mine knuckle bones every fortnight or so. That keep's the teeth clean.
  8. I thought Payet wouldve been in your all time team Wilf?
  9. Yes I agree it's a personal thing as much as anything. BUT despite what we like to see on a pitch, for example players like Rui Costa, Edgar Davids, Rivaldo on their day were fantastic to watch. But for a full career being at the top and winning trophies along the way is what defines the best of the best and keeps them in your memory. Edited to add, players like the first Ronaldo, Micheal Owen etc could have been classics but they peaked too early and fell by the wayside with injuries etc, that's what makes Ronaldo and Messi so remarkable IMO.
  10. I don't mean to undermine anyone. But how anyone could not put Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi in the best Xl is beyond me. It's easy to look back with rose tinted glasses but in generations ahead I think they'll look back at them two players and not believe what they've achieved, I think they take the edge off each other because they're both so good, no one else gets near them. I'm too young to have seen all the older players but from what I've seen my best Xl would be- Buffon Carlos, Nesta, Cannavaro, Thuram C.Ronaldo, Scholes, Zidane, Giggs Messi, Henry.
  11. I agree. I rate Mourinho as a manager but he always buys for the present time and for himself, he has no interest in a clubs future or any youth players coming through. He buys the latest stars, wins a few trophies and fks off to the next club. I hate to blow hot air up players arses but Loftus-Cheek looked fantastic against Germany the other night. Be nice to see him flourish.
  12. Yes i agree Scholes was your out and out all round midfield player. The closest we've seen since him is De Bruyne now at City. If he carries on his form for 2/3 years Man City will be unstoppable and he'll be heading for a Ballon d'Or or 2.
  13. All of them in every major tournament
  14. What a sickener. Is she an old bitch? I think I know the dog you used. Nice thing he is.
  15. How did the pups turn out from your bitch Daniel Cain?
  16. Good player I agree, but I think he was one of a bunch of good Italian midfielders of his era, and didn't excel until his early 30s. And it doesn't take much to make Hart look crap! After Pickfords performance last night I'll be surprised if Hart plays for England again(thank god).
  17. Another bitch pup. Half sister to the one I posted above and slightly older. Not as photogenic but the breeding's all in there
  18. Got a strong head on her now Lee. Have you had her out yet?
  19. I've seen lurchers do it a few times. Scratching at the floor where they can hear the dog working away. It sure is impressive. Edited to add- Never when the terrier is 6 foot deep though. That is IMPRESSIVE Francie.
  20. He's a nice terrier Womble. Gotta be something to do with the JP stuff? Just got that look.
  21. Young bitch with it all ahead of her...
  22. Fair play Foxdropper, as an afterthought, I always think the books nowadays offer very little on such advice for newbies whereas the older books were a minefield of info on such advice and tips.
  23. Dipping your toes back into the murky waters of terrierwork Wilf?
