We just dug the trench out, then put a tile on the bottom then another one upside down on top of it to make a circle. Just be sure to pack them in tight when you backfill them and they won't move.

We put one in last Summer on a beck that has no earths near it , we made the tubes with half round roof tiles and made a bed from a 2x3 paving slab and have had 3 out of it over the Winter.

Bad craic, I've found with a few different hunt terriermen that they begin to get the 'typical' hunt attitude that the land is all theirs and no one else should be allowed on. They seem to forget their roots that they were initially weekend warriors before they went full time. United We Stand.. my arse.

Yes. Have a look on Youtube, them daft trials they do in man made earths and doubling them up on digs etc. Just another money making scheme and the gullible English fall for it.

I've seen numerous problems with the red boxes. The on/off button is difficult to use, you can get a depth mark of say 5 foot but it ends up being only 3 and like has already been said the battery life is poor.

It's more common than people would think. The digging up around me is not too plentiful so travelling is the only way to work the dogs properly. I've lost count of the times I've dropped a dog in, and out comes the 'oh we never get a dig on this place' or after a successful dig it's 'dog did well there, we've never managed a dig on here'. There's no need for it.

And here lies the downfall of the Border Terrier. Physical attributes overtaking the grit and determination needed within a working terrier. Never mind the long legs and colour, how about working parents and a desire to work? -
