  1. Is there a better sight for a terrier man than that? Nice clear pic SO.
  2. 100% ain't no badger print What type of ground is it in? Could be Otter.
  3. What a wanker, thinks he's Gods gift on Sky and thinks he was a better player than he actually was. Same as Gary Neville, dickhead
  4. I have two terriers that, if I didn't have bark collars on them during the day, I wouldn't be able to keep. They're barking b*****ds and the collars keep them in check, they get a beep if they bark once and if they bark again within 30 seconds they get a shock. These legislations are an absolute disgrace.
  5. Yes I agree Neil, they are the type that chop and change blood, never have a decent dog in their yard and slate any line they can.
  6. Depends on the seriousness of the 'mistake' and is it turning into a common thing? Any dog that is dug enough will miss or have off days, as long as they're a rarity then don't worry about it.
  7. What about if I have the app on my phone? How do I do it through that? Cheers.
  8. Could you put some of her past works up DC? Thanks for the info buddy
  9. Did you have no problems getting that done DC? I like it.
  10. Good pic that Dilly, I don't know many that would look after their dogs so well. Ps I'm guessing as soon as Hailey turned her back you kicked her dogs out? Racist twat!
  11. Fatman and How Deep, can you explain exactly how the dogs work that just lay hold without taking any punishment? I've genuinely never seen it how you both are describing it. I've seen steady dogs that take hold on breakthrough and I've seen mute dogs that go in and take hold, but they don't always get a cheek hold, so they will take a lot of punishment otherwise? I honestly can not fathom how a dog can go in, grab a cheek hold and lay there without taking punishment, every time?
  12. Should be common sense but like you say FD, that ain't so common. A bit extra food and bedding than what they normally get will help them too.
  13. And what about if it's in roots and gives the dog a face full every time he tries to take hold? Then what does the dog do?
  14. Like Glyn says, these dogs that go in and get hold ain't to be cherished IMO. And to be unscathed? Them type of mute dogs get lucky on a cheek hold 1 times out of 10, most of the time they get a shoulder, chest or foot hold and hold on for dear life, and the result is never pretty.
  15. That's fair enough mate, your dogs your choice. But personally I'm part of the 'time to ground' rather than 'no of heads' team. The steady dog that gets bashed up on an educated quarry isn't a hindrance, but more of a digging dog, he adjusts his style and 'ups the gears' as my mate says to get the result. If I had a breeding worthy bitch and had the choice of a dog that has dug 200 in the same County or a dog that has dug 50 all over the Country, I know which one I would choose.
  16. And to me FD, that's when you know what you've got. Dogs that bay away at green stuff all their lives are never truly tested, surely? Sometimes the game doesn't want to be dug, and when you have that dog that still gets them animals, then you've cracked it, until the next mating at least
  17. And that's why we love terriers, there's so much of a grey area with them. I've seen dogs start hard and stay hard, start hard and steady up, start steady and end up wafflers, start hard and spew when they don't get their own way and lastly, start steady and become harder with the more confidence they build up.
  18. Like has been said, reading something that someone else has written is easily mis-interpreted depending on how you read it.
  19. I prefer a harder type and I agree with what you're saying.
  20. We're reading from the same hymn sheet boys. Key word for me was 'fox'. And yes How Deep I meant underground of course, I have a dog here that will kill a fox unless you're down to him sharpish, but he ain't no digging dog.
  21. I think the fox killing aspect is over hyped, I've seen terriers that would make short work of a fox and were useless digging dogs. IMO fox killers like that are hyped up (even gassy) wind bags that want the job over too quickly. Give me that laid back terrier that goes in and gets the job done in his own steady style any day of the week.
  22. She looks like a dog SO. Hope she carries on the good work
