  1. Does anyone still use them? As already said, they are not allowed for killing rabbits, just demolishing burrows!
  2. Where is the NEITHER option? Where are the comments sections? I can't get past the first page because I do not accept some of the options. Daft survey put together by people with an agenda or simply ignorant!
  3. I have very little experience of Kral, but had the opportunity to use one seriously yesterday. I was impressed and checked their website, they have a big range and from my limited experience I would suggest they are worth a look! http://kralarms.com/en/
  4. A .243 isn't many people FIRST choice of a fox calibre, but I have to suggest with the light V-Max they are excellent for long range fox. Its down to land, circumstances, and need! I shoot FAR more fox with my collection of rimfires than centrefires, but all my calibres are AOLQ so I take them at will with anything. 300 yards as a long way for most people on fox, but there are those that need to take them a long way (not many), the vast majority of mine are under 100 yards! If you have NO desire to ever go for deer, then get a .22-250, but in honesty I'm not a great fan, other
  5. Love the sentiment, but the photoshop falls well short of expert!
  6. I was going to say that group is fine for field work, but seems rather pointless now after the fox pics!
  7. Why use a Bore snake, they are NOT the one time does it all solution, and in rifles can actually cause damage. Bore snakes were developed as a quick pull through for shotguns on site where you couldn't clean properly, the reason being some years back many propellants were corrosive so it was a good idea to get them out of the barrels asap. Things have changed and the need for a Bore snake in Shotguns has virtually disappeared. There never really was a need in rifles, just the marketing people trying to convince the world they were essential. No Bore Snake will ever clean a bore
  8. I quite like the black ones, but I wish she would buy me a drink sometimes??!!??!!
  9. Only a guide...NEVER rely on this type of generic chart. If you need to, and can, shoot at 200 yards, then zero at 200 yards and you will know for sure. Once you are happy with your 200 yard Zero then by all means use the gun at (for example) 50 yards, and note results, you should then be able to check very accurately your 200 yard Zero by shooting at 50 yards. Remember, any change of ammo (even another brand of the same weight) you will need to start again!
  10. That's a lot, even for two people on two nights!
  11. As I predicted when England went through the GL grief, Scottish Natural Heritage have now embarked on a review of the GL.
  12. DMQ, the consortium behind the DSC are apparently going to introduce a Wild Boar qualification. Personally this pisses me off, the whole DSC is little more than a commercial money generating exercise, and just where has it ever been established that we need a piece of paper to shoot Boar. I have never found or heard of any problem in the UK with anyone in any situation causing issues or experiencing problems dealing with Boar. This is simply a cynical money generating load of tosh!
  13. I'm new, give me some land. It simply doesn't work like that!
  14. You will, but you should still be able to work things out. It would have been better to use a long board vertically, and extend the gap at each distance, but I don't really see an issue as long as you check/mark each gun before moving to the next! A pic after you have checked them all will be good!
  15. Agree, a tank is no good when it fails test, there is NO 15 year time limit as far as I'm aware! Edit …… Actually there is DEFINATELY no 15 year limit, mine is about 20 and had no problem with the last test!
  16. I think things may have caught up or possibly overtaken mine, (certainly size/weight, not moderation) but I use the P8 COMPACT on all my centrefires. Still quite large/heavy in comparison with some today but still VERY good, and they last, mine all go back some years, they are fully stripable, and should you need them for any reason all the parts are available (I never have)!
  17. Anyone got the above setup please? Honest opinion/review required. Good/bad/whatever? Many thanks.
  18. Saw the driftwood figures and the metal (mainly horse shoe) figures on another stand, Just what I wanted, but unfortunately a tad to big for my garden...shame. Saw the Aston Martin stand and was tempted by the special edition at just short of £750,000, but then thought what on earth would I do with all the rubbish in my garage, so had to leave it? Did you see the Moorcroft stand?????? Looked at one price tag which read £4,990.00 and left quickly, keeping arms close to my side! No Edgar Bros, No Highland Outdoors, GMK didn't have a Sporter to look at neighter did Sportsman. I hav
  19. Dissapointing...and the weather was **** as well!
  20. Yes, my .22 FN19 Skeleton is FAC, runs around 26ft lb. Relatively low shot count by todays standards at 32 before it begins to tail off, but that does me (and most people) just fine, very accurate and does what I need!
  21. If you still have a serious need for a 12ft lb then keep it and buy FAC. What sort of power are you looking at, 18ft lb is noticeable, 24-30 is very noticeable?

    Brexit

This is where I'm getting confused! Parliament have voted and its on the statute books, we DO NOT leave without a deal! So how do we leave without a deal if we don't have a deal end of Oct?
