  1. Does look lean and long...but they all count!
  2. I noticed that as well, I'm sure my Mum had one like that we gave to a Charity Shop!
  3. My previous WMR loved these....... but my latest prefers the Hornady 30g V-Max, which is quite useful as they perform very well for me, and I use them virtually exclusively now!
  4. Nope, I NEVER put on too much!
  5. I shoot very few foxes past 200 metres, frankly the majority of mine are under 100. Obviously peoples situations/land/experiences are different, but for "most" people, LONG range (200m++++) foxes are the exception rather than the norm!
  6. Latest. The bubbles are from the paintwork BELOW the paint I am applying and it is evident the paint is not adhering to the walls in these specific areas. The bubbles do not go away when the emulsion dries! However, I have pushed them flat with the back of my fingernail and they seem to stay in position quite well. I cannot believe how abrasive matt emulsion is, I have worn away 2 fingernails to paper thin!!!!! 2 coats of oil based undercoat have been applied to the walls in the effected areas and the bubbles did not re-emerge. I have just applied a coat of emulsion over the
  7. As already mentioned 1-8 is better for heavy bullets but you will not get a flat trajectory with that, but you will get distance and better energy retention. The lighter bullets fly faster and flatter but speed and energy drops off quite quickly. Sounds to me like 1-10 is more for you. My T3 Hunter is 1-10, it does exceptionally well with 90g SP ammo, it is also brilliant with 58g V-Max, but they serve different purposes, and the 58g is so easy to shoot its unbelievable!
  8. Howa are well known for their Rifle Packages, they can be a reasonable deal if you only have a pretty basic use for the rifle. If you have any desire to stretch the limits forget the deals and buy what you need separately.
  9. I've had it both ways many a time. The domestics tend to have "A" fox (sometimes a family), but the schools are usually worst, they have "A" fox almost all the time, always turns out to be a family or two or more! Very rarely do I get an accurate estimate from the clients!
  10. Always used to be Midland Dive Centre. Who knows now, but with the Web at your fingertips why not search?!
  11. They are rugged, they are a workhorse, they are accurate, and good shot count on the newer versions. Not much bad about them except the business model behind the (Ex) company!
  12. I've had a few sites with good numbers but don't recall any with that many. Tends to be first time around the big numbers and then slows down with control visits. Just the same I have a free range Chicken/geese/duck farm that I take a pretty consistent 14 a year from, just goes on and on!
  13. Got to get on so embarked on a course of action last night. Results in a few days!
  14. That area is always covered in the motor, emergency "supplies" live in it, as well as in shooting jackets etc!
  15. You want some publicity ...what's the best deal you can do me on a Vortex Viper 6.5 x 20 x 50? Make it good and I'll give you a lot of publicity!
  16. Cheers, but I would hope that would be fair, I believe its about £850. The Vortex Viper 6.5 x 20 x 50 is about half that price and right at the top of the budget for my club!
  17. There are a lot there and after a cursory glance Im not following the logic of them all, perhaps a deeper look is required!
  18. Ok, the Vortex Viper 6.5 x 20 x 50 seems to be on the shortlist, but I've nevr seen through one, what is it like at the top end, x20? Everyone is different and I have no issue with 8-12x out to 600 yards but several in the club will think 20 is a bit low, but if it works well there and not all milky/hazy then I sould be able to make the case. Cheers
  19. Any ideas about the cause and more specifically how to cure it, will I need to cut out the areas? Seems a real pain whatever. Cheers
  20. My guess is somewhere along some of those lines. Best I can tell the existing paint was vinyl matt purple, under this is a very light green which I suspect was original paintwork and also seems matt. My suspicions are, at the new build time, joint skim went over the joints and damaged plasterboard and the walls were painted when everything was still damp. There is no way the developer ever put anything like a sealing/mist coat on any of the walls first. Just shows the rubbish job developers do, house is circa 20 years old. I have had vast area of the house skimmed as pa
  21. ?????? It is common practice to dilute emulsion paint, it even says you can do it up to 10% on the instructions on the Dulux tin. It helps with paint flow, especially in hot conditions. It is not uncommon for the trade to dilute it much more than 10%, it can reduce the orange peel effect of some paint when using a roller quite dramatically and give a much better finish.
  22. Background. Painting walls in Bedroom, they were purple and that way when I moved in, walls are dry lined. Thought I would start with a coat or two of Dulux Brill White Matt to help obscure the purple as they will be end up an off white Ivory type of colour. Dulux diluted about 10% with water as so hot, applied first coat on Sat and walls bubbled in parts. Rubbed down the areas yesterday , bubbles did not burst but went "nearly" flat again, just applied another coat of Dulux and bubbles all back. Any ideas about the cause and more specifically how to cure, will I need to cut o

  24. It isn't only my experiences that count, it is the experiences of many here who have actually done it, and seen it, we don't read about it and then pretend to be an expert like someone on here does! Your comments are so predictably from something you read it is unreal. That is my final word on the matter to you, so feel free to enlighten me with yet another comment you read somewhere, I'll not be responding.
