You are either on something, blind, or this whole thing is a windup!

??????????????????????????????? The Internet is a wonderful thing, I don't know what plane is in your picture but it definately isn't a Spitfire, look it up yourself on the web!

I know the Hurricane had more than a bit to do with the Battle of Britain, but if that was the Spitfire we used we would have lost!
  7. I try for the Friday usually, but I have 4 weeks solid work at a school starting 22 July so needs to be Sat this time...bugger!

I don't pretend to be an expert but I built a few Airfix Spitfires as a boy and they didn't look like anything in your pics!
  10. If you wrote the script nobody would belive it!
  11. There is only one! Changed ownersip a couple of years back and this will be my first of the new era, there is no doubt it was always the show of the year, hope this delivers!
  12. I'm scheduled for Sat, need a complete new .223 setup..everything ...for my club! Fancy a meet/drink?
  13. Hell, mag and reticle get so personal I NEVER tell people what to get. I use 6x on almost all my scopes (guns) and have no issue with that out to 3-4-500 yards. I may crank it up to 8-10-12 when I go 600yards +++++, whatever you want. I like simple Mill dot scopes as well, but thats me, many think I'm bonkers, but I tend to hit what I aim at consistantly!
  14. Hawke make (sell) very adequate, but very ordinary scopes, They are fine for many applications and I have several. which do what I want just fine. If you want serious quality you will have to dig a lot deeper in your pockests.
  15. The standard in many peoples book, but plenty long enough to give some indicators whatever!
  16. Been doing a bit of digging! You must have just missed the X Mark Pro which was adjustable and came out in 2007 (awkward adjustment), that was followed in 2009 by the EASILY adjustable X Mark Pro (which I have on my 700 SPS .308). Mine is perfectly adequate without being exceptional, that's why my original comment was.... What is the standard trigger?
  17. Wondering off topic somewhat, but I'm getting confused. My 700 is about 10 years old and was a very early, EASILY adjustable X Mark Pro, the previous X mark Pro was also adjustable but more of a malarkey, I believe that lasted a year or two!? Are you talking about older, pre X mark triggers, as far as I recall all X mark pro were adjustable?
  18. What is the standard trigger? The X Mark pro has been used for some years now! The X Mark Pro is fitted to many and is better than a lot think...still far from match quality, but certainly ok! Mine has been fine (even with the recall, I am convinced mine wasn't touched on recall trip).
  19. This area is called..... New Member Introductions It isn't called I want, give me, I need advice, help me, I have something to sell, etc etc. Whatever happened to Introductions, they seem few and far between these days?
  20. Not seen on the site since joining date of 2 July. Guess he wasn't after that much more exposure!
  21. I suspect it was coming, but still surprised me a bit!
  22. ...and some need a mentor and can't find one! Anyway, as it happens I have been approached today to be a Mentor yet again, this time for a guy who has only applied for a .22LR. I thought TVP had actually done away with mentors, but is seems not!
  23. Very good pal of mine had a 527 in .223, the black plastic version, one of the cheapest guns on the market at the time but its accuracy became legendary!
  24. Here you go, these are my centrefires (.223, .243 and .308) and they all have the P8 COMPACT, there is a tube from the normal P8 at top right which show how much shorter and lighter to Compact is. I am very happy about the sound reduction even on the .308. My mods do go back a few years, and almost everything is smaller and lighter now, usually a chunk more expensive as well, and in honesty I don't know about the sound reduction comparison.
