I don't do it as a profession, it's a sport that I really enjoy. It's also nice to take something for the pot. Atb

    Nice picture Phil The silly feckers sat right in front of the backstop - it just doesn't seem sporting. I'd have been tempted to put a pellet into the metal rat to make it jump though

    Shame about the FWB Mark - we all knew you were looking forward to getting out with it Is it worth sticking it in the back of a cupboard until you feel like dealing with it again? I'd say any of the rifles you mentioned would be suitable for hunting but, from what I've read of your posts since I joined, you seem to prefer heavier kit. ..... I'm wondering if you'd find a lighter rifle twitchy? As already mentioned, maybe try a 97 - I'm getting along really well with mine so far Oh, and the TXs are here to stay because, they just cant be bettered

    They can and do kill Giraffes on occasion. I was amazed that they'll even try. I guess I thought that they'd try for a smaller, safer meal.

    I thought that was an excellent first episode I do like David Attenborough stuff Them little lizzards are impressive - straight out of the egg and off sprinting. I'm looking forward to the episode where that lion makes a try for the giraffe. On the clip, it looks like the giraffe tries to stomp it as it's running

    I remember we used to build a fire with our grandad. The day before we lit it, we'd be out there checking that no hedgehogs had gotten inside. As a teenager growing up on an estate, we used to snap the sticks off rockets and chuck them at each other in alleys and underpasses. We used to call them Wicked Willies. Looking back, it was f***ing daft and, it was amazing that no one got hurt.

    yeh deff nice one above , but whisky and me dont get on lol, i become to aggressive on it , i am ok on 3-4 pints lager or beer, but not whisky , my wife banned me from drinking it haha I'm like that with Tequila. I love the taste but, the missus made me promise not to touch it again one morning about 15yrs ago. I can't do scotch - just sniffing it makes me shudder. I do like Southern Comfort though. I've been through a bottle of that neat a few times. It makes me happy pissed and wobbly legged
