  1. That went well…………… better luck today
  2. Great air rifle, have one in 177 used for rats in the main. Very quiet, hope you enjoy?
  3. He was voted in, he got Brexit done, he steered through the latest shite fest as well if not better than anyone else could of. Yes the olde boy did do wrong but as usual trial by media is in full swing while I’m gonna say the mass majority are keeping stum & the loud minority are shouting from the roof tops. You know things must be amiss when that conniving tw*t Cummings is being sort after for quotes - that said he was on BJ’s Brexit team? Just god forbid should ‘I could do better’ Sir Keir come our way - now there is a chocolate teapot
  4. A suggestion, others may correct but how about a rabbit trap in cases of despair. If laid up and past bedtime leave a trap out with a rabbit carcass in and return the following day?
  5. Go to the BBKA website swarm collection page, punch in your postcode and contact a local beekeeper to collect - hopefully the link will work. Swarm removal | British Beekeepers Association WWW.BBKA.ORG.UK Beekeepers are often approached about winged, flying creatures, especially in the spring and summer period, when they are their most active simply working and are... It may bugger off or not. If not they’ll get pissed & be a pain in the arse (quite possibly literally depending on what you get up to in the garden?), or bugger off som
  6. Good size swarm that one, on a wall as well, nice & easy...................why are mine always in brambles or hawthorn?
  7. Excellent write up & love the pic’s - esp the last one. Glad the work crew had some fun?
  8. That may be do but I think he’s handled Brexit & the Covid shitestorm pretty well. Certainly better than “I could do better than that” slimey Starmer &.............well who else is there? Don’t even know who heads the Lib Dem’s these days and as for the Greens ? Always a case of who's the best of a bad lot.............definitely don’t like Mrs Boris though
  9. Ha ha.........well what can I say other than well done Rachael ?
  10. Just a warning, don’t bother to back Sub Lieutenant or Minella Times, they’re bolaxed before the line up cause I’ve just placed a little each way bet on them............. Trying a bit of reverse psychology in desperation ? Oh and don’t bother telling me ‘I’d not back those donkeys anyway’..........?
  11. Sounds like a crock of shite to me...................... Mind you easier than donating a kidney.
  12. I have no idea but it did make me chuckle?
  13. Only use mine for spotting but find the onboard ir is good enough for me. In the main rabbits etc, have watched a fox at 230yrds/meters wandering down a hedge line clear as a bell. Can see rabbits hopping around 180-200 - further than I’m shooting. They (as I imagine all night visions/thermals) do take a bit of playing with, have a mess with the ir focus thingy, pulling back opens the beam, pulling out narrows the beam. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed
  14. Don’t want to be the spoiler but I think ya buggered - all stop until December earliest?
  15. Common sense to me says no to masks - mixed messages about this tactic. “more to protect others than you.........”, pretty much everyone I see is pulling theirs up/down/left/right & it’s harbouring bugs which then pass onto hands. Commen sense says if you ain’t right f’ing stay at home, sneeze into you arms, wash hands etc etc
  16. All the pillocks protesting would do well to watch this.........bunch of useless tossers.
  17. Don’t want to sound boring and certainly not into ‘Elf & Safety’ but some abattoirs won’t accept stock around here unless trailer is fit for purpose ie gates at back etc. Might be worth just checking with your local abattoir to ensure they’re relaxed & not up their own bureaucratic arsehole, save you a wasted journey
  18. Strangely enough ordered kerosene yesterday, paid 31p/Ltr, did say delivery’s could be anything up to 4 weeks due to current situation
  19. Any ewes that are good enough we’ll keep - in the past all boys have gone however this year may be keeping anyone who’s good enough also. Some good lambs but have yet to commit to a decision, the clock is ticking though!
  20. Only a few ewes lambed so not on a commercial scale however pleased with what we gave on the whole. Being Hampshire’s we lambed in Dec so most just about ready to go.
  21. Hopefully not established here - just a few immigrants that have been seen, located & destroyed! Any reports at present are dealt with by the ‘non native species secretariat’ but the feeling is there will come a time when the containment period is no more - then it will be Everyman to himself! Attended an event recently about the Asian Hornet, yes to the nests in trees..........but also found in the ground..........they’ll go anywhere! link for a few more details https://www.vespavelutina.co.uk/asianhornet.html
  22. Yes to the Hamp tup as its a pedigree flock. Started on the 5th Dec, last one dropped on the 29th. Weighing on a weekly basis, largest lambs now hitting 17kgs! Always amazing how fast they get up & grow! Hope your lambing goes smoothly ?
  23. Missed this thread previously........Hope all goes well. Not at your scale but all done & dusted here. 9 ram/7 ewe lambs from 9 Hampshire ewes.
