  1. Any tips on introducing our new member of the family (currently in quarantine) to the mob? How long to keep in quarantine? We were planning on feeding them all up and then introducing her on full tummies. Don't really know her history as bought at an auction, this years kit supposedly and a good worker?!? Appears to be healthy, alert & friendly enough, well haven't lost any fingers yet!
  2. I'm guessing this method bruises the hell out of the rib cage area? Reason I ask is where our rabbits go, they come out of jackets & sold whole on the counter so a black & blue top half wouldn't look quite as appealing. Still might have a play on a young'un though just for the hell of it - ferrets aren't likely to object
  3. Andy Kelly on here.......irrelevant of shows I wouldn't go anywhere else.
  4. That is an offer not to be missed for somebody........very generous-shame your not closer
  5. Good price, sell as you do but for 50p less
  6. What brand are you trying out of interest? We've just switched to Winchester from Hornady - pleased with the results, sure it's more of a confidence thing but ho hum
  7. Shite......& I thought there were some odd balls on this site.....nothing in comparison to those weird o's!

    Threat Level

    Canada Geese

Naff all to do with your question - sorry, but have to ask as I've been told all sorts in the past. Do Canada's make good eating? Some say tough as old leather forget about them. Somebody else said take off the breast meat, treat like a good piece of steak and don't over cook - this I like the sound of. As already said, sorry for hi-jacking thread but you seem to have an interest in Canada's so assume you must do something with em.
  10. Charging somebody to control pests / vermin for them ! Let the buggers drown in their own greed. Wouldn't even consider this - if nobody paid then they would come running when rats & rabbits were giving them grief. Then you could have the pleasure in telling them to sod off! Rant over - bye bye, have a good day :-)
  11. Brings back memories........ On a journey home from school I had "what's a dildo dad?" As a responsible father type I answered "ask your mother when we get I home son"......
  12. That is a lovely looking bit of kit.....good luck with the sale
  13. Second your thoughts on the nets from Andy / Tonya, great colours - not going to lose those to easy!
  14. Kind offer. Good show, have a great day Dave - don't spend too much!
  15. Makes the price of a snip for a hob seem very reasonable
  16. Bit of a trek but... http://www.shootingshow.co.uk/index.html 14-16th feb
  17. Ferreted / clean head shot - £1. gutted. If Shotgun / not clean kill, 90p gutted (def ferret grub). Somebody around here buys to supply a local zoo and will pay £1. guts in, skin on for a ferreted / rifle shot bunny. £2.50 seems a good price. Rabbits around here seem to be getting a bit scarce so supply and demand etc may see those prices I've quoted on the up. Enjoy the experience of ferreting and shooting so really thinking about laying off a little just to let numbers come up a bit......everything should be in balance I like to think and for £2 now I would rather leave alone and have lots
  18. We found by being up front with our FEO did no harm. Told him what and where we wanted to shoot, similar to yourself a fox problem around us at the time. He advised on a calibre for fox that he would be happy granting. This was a first time application for FAC - no problems and granted
  19. Cracking looking dog, great to see the photo's
  20. Search out a local beekeeping association and see what hives are being used in your area. We use commercial hives (have a top bar waiting to be filled though to have a play with), lots around us use nationals. Have had some experience with poly's but think my cedar hives will out last so greener / cheaper / more indestructible in the long run - land rover springs to mind. Search out your local association for some guidance
  21. Recommend better shot placement next time.............I'm thinking you wouldn't need to gut if in the right place Very humane, don't think they would have felt much.
