  1. All the ones I usually go on end up Stag Don't s! I like the old faithfuls and Benidorm is top of that tree...
  2. I've had squirrel, years ago. It was cooked a bit shit but ok, maybe with my now honed culinary skills I could give it a better go... Degsy, that 'should' be a good show, to be honest, back in the day Cook On The Wild side was fantastic, Hugh's best show by far, when he really was going for it, then the first series of RC and he was a breath of fresh air... Sadly, like anything successful Hugh and his shows are a shadow of their former selves...!
  3. Good to see ya posting again Stunt's, keep it up!
  4. Them Keepers that 'really' want to catch poachers can be a bit of a pain....
  5. About 15 years ago there was a dog, with a dash of desert dog, in Liverpool by that name.... Feck me, it killed foxes in their hundreds!
  6. Bonny bitch Jim, love those water retrieves. What happened to that other bitch you were thinking about..?
  7. Nice pup that Kev, liked it from the other pictures you put up. Reminds me very much of that one I had. Looks like yours is gonna be a big un too.

  9. Pablo, is that the lurcher dog you've had for about 5/6 years now, is he still doing well. If so, I did have its litter brother on for a couple of years.
  10. A ten and a half month, 26" strong, full on bitch, with breeds in the mix like that.... Embrace and nurture her, give her the best start and keep going. There are plenty looking for sommat like that and if that write up was for a sale, she'd go in a flash, seriously, your glass is half full... In your shoes, I'd be over the moon and telling the world feck all..!

  12. Nope they ain't, it's simply the way they feed. When I kept mules and goldies I cursed them but any losses were my fault, not the Spar's... They will always be my favorite BOP, to watch them hit a hedge in pursuit takes my breath, I still stop in my tracks and stare when one is in the garden but for the right reasons...
  13. My brothers best mate from school, cracking bloke, good family, went off the rails over a relationship ending. In the boozer a bit too often, caused a downward spiral that, within a few months, seen him on the streets. He found himself on a park bench one night, over on the Wirral, when some kids decided, for a laugh, to pour petrol on him and set him alight... He was saved by a passerby but suffered 95% burns, with only his feet in shoes saving him from 100%. He's now rebuilding his life, with good people around him and doing ok.
  14. I've owned leggy terriers that have shaped up better than them..!

  17. Ossie, they are about as close to the original as you'll ever see, that artist has some talent. Though I'd bet she didn't do that Betty Boop!
  18. I like them Alex, they look like art, with artistic licence. Those first two are as near as I've seen to Martin Knowlden's art in the old Plummer books, always loved his stuff....

  20. Whats all the fuss about..? Russell's have been selling for big money for years. They are still the most appealing terrier to the middle classes who enjoy a Sunday stroll in the countryside. Two tv series have helped that cause, over here Johnny Briggs and stateside, Frazer! And all has been fueled by working breeders, showing (Crufts!), mass producing and selling abroad for the coin.

    No Tax Disc

Beat me to it mate,,,feck them were the days back in the ,s no tax no insurance,,,did have mot,,,well I bought the mot for for £20,,,lol,,, Got nicked as well,,,,many times,,,lol That's right mate, you never got your tax, you'd always see how long you could string it out between disks. It was never a worry. You bought an old motor with a tax disc in, happy days, even if it was well out of date, it was there! If not, a beer mat would do, or 'borrow' one off an old boy (like me now!) who put his new one over his old and had a stack on his screen. As long as sommat looked like a disc,
  23. Around 1982 I went to Lowther for the first time with some fellas from the old Wigan club. On the way back we stopped at a pub where, if I'm not mistaken, the Landlord was Master, or former, to an Otterhound pack. Nice boozer, chock full of memorabilia. He knew we were coming and made us very welcome and all the talk was about the future of the pack and trying, under very difficult times, to maintain it but its future looked dark. Being younger, rather than listen to the conversation, I spent too much time gazing at the walls and then all too soon we were on our way home and to this day that
