    Bit Fresh

That squeak just got all the mutts up and one on the table, cheers
  2. Nice belt Micky, I'll be sporting my blue number today. Do you lose any to foxes, rabbit that is?
  3. Well respected terrierman who worked Russels And for that reason, I send my condolences. RIP
  4. Well done. You will ferret more rabbits with a dog and you will lay far less nets.
  5. Try any local smokery's. Trout are as good, if you can get em. Get a sign up at your local trout fishery. Many regular trout fishers are glad to get rid.
  6. Malinois are high drive dogs and good Bull terriers are also. With out the hound or similar to water down the mix is the "problem" (if you want to call it that). So no, not because of the Mali or the mix, but both. Bull terriers cross Malinois "can" be a toxic mix. Malinois a very trainable dogs that likes to bite and a Bull terrier a thinking dog that likes to fight. One of the pups was trainer aggressive and I was bitten properly by it more times than I'd like to remember. All down to my error, but hey ho you live and learn. Just to add I have been bitten many times in my life, but
  7. So what. Personally I think they've got better and better. May be Walt you can give Rob some ideas or suggestions.
  8. Would I have another.....yes. But it wouldn't be me breeding it and it would have to be from some good dogs.
  9. With all breeding homes have to be found, these dogs needed specific home and they are hard to find. I could of placed these dogs immediately, but the fate of the dogs would of been unsure, so that would be my main reason for not doing it again. The pups were easy to train if you had time and knowledge. When you breed dogs of a certain calibre you need to consider many things. Not only the welfare of the dog, but the welfare of the people/families that the dogs are going to. The safety of the general public are also considered when finding homes for such dogs. All my pups left here well soc
  10. Nice one. Put a Greyhound across it
  11. All doing really well in there own way. Temperament wise, very good, it's all in the breeding/rearing . Would I do it again, no fecking chance! Reason being, its was soo hard to find suitable home for these dogs, for a whole heap of reasons. One of the pups is dead, one of them has caused a load of problems (non human) for it's owner, through bad management, but is ok'ish now. One bitch was sold to an experienced family and they are over the moon with her. Two of them I kept on and have only recently found a really good home for one at the age of 2!!! One is owned by a friend of mine and ha
  12. That looks dead to me. I hope I'm wong.

    Boerboel

But doesn't that go for all breeds Yep. Thing is people limit the chance of getting a good dog to suit their needs just because of breed blindness. They set their hearts on one particular breed and sometimes miss out on better dogs and sometimes nearer home. What Mastiffs have you got DS? I love Mastiffs but they don't suit my situation at the mo, but I will have another one or two in the future.

    Boerboel

Regarding all mastiffs, I would only have one from decent parents, doing exactly what I wanted from them. As with most breeds, a lot of shite about, with people breeding for £$£$£ and looks only.
  15. Regardless of how the dog went missing, the responsibility of the dog is solely that of the officer who took it from the owner. Once that officer has taken the dog the future welfare of that animal is upon him, regardless of who or were the dog is housed. He or she cannot blame anybody else as it was them who took the dogs. If it was my dog I would hammer them through the courts, by the time I had finished that officer would not look twice at another dog. Hope it all turns out well eventually.......ATB....... Del The police put any mutts seized into private kennels, often as far f
  16. One piece fly rods, that says something. 10-12wt set up on a single handed rod! Feck, that'll take some casting. You'll need to do some working out. "A responsible way of fishing" a lot on here should take note of this, not that most will be fishing for Tarpon any time soon .
  17. What size rods do you use and do you take your own tackle?
  18. "Woah baby, we're dancing!" A gigantic Herring, even the small ones are hard to hook up. Do they eat them where you're going? They're not eaten in the parts of the Caribbean that I've been to, maybe because there are so much nicer fish to eat.
  19. she still fat as butter mate, only 6 month old still pile the grub into them over these cold winter nights cheers 6 months tomorrow, hope you've made it a cake
  20. Doesn't look like any abscess discharge I've ever seen. May be the result of a pellet as said. Why would a pellet make the pus that colour?
  21. Any of the Scombridea family. Tuna, Wahoo, Marlin and the humble Mackerel are pound for pound amongst the hardest fighting fish. They are fast and have stamina. Mullet are good and of course Salmon have got it going on.
  22. Lordy! That was a bit of light reading . Still food for thought.
