  1. You can stock them as long as you put in provisions to stop them entering the local water course. This can be done by using mesh on water outlets. There are quite a few types of Sturgeon. They probably became extinct over here due to over fishing and blockages in rivers such as weirs, locks, etc. They fight well.
  2. Can you dim led bulbs? They can be lit at different brightness's. So not a dimmer as such, but have the desired effect. So I'll rephrase that, do any of them have variable brightness?
  3. Staff x Labrador, that old chestnut. I bet they didn't DNA it.
  4. Not actually knowing a lot of the bullshitters and messers on here.

    Mallinois

Mine does, but if were up to him he would be calling the shots. So much so that I only take him out every now and again. His intensity is off the scale and can often ruin the harmony in the pack. Good dog though and he has caught a fair share of gear. If you have a gooden they can be hard to keep in line when there's lots going on. These dogs are far easier to control on their own.
  6. How old? The only way to break older dogs to load bangs/fireworks etc is to introduce them to them slowly, usually from a distance. Much easier to do as a pup. It can/is also be inherent.
  7. Looks good mate. Pup has got some patience. You're not allowed to drag live rats in cages about over here though .
  8. Anything bigger than a pound, a Heron would have problems with. They will take fish a bit bigger but have trouble necking them, they tend to pick at them from the gills inward. For a heron to spear a fish in the side, it must have been on it's side in the first place. Plus a Heron only weighs between 2 and 4lb. So the 20lb Carp thing is a bit of a stretch, unless the fish was sick. Also a Heron can only fish as deep as it can wade. I have resident Herons here and the pose no problem to me and I like seeing them.
  9. My friend has imported a couple of good dogs and has introduced frozen seamen from a good dog he had 10 years or so ago. PM me if you would like some more info.
  10. By the way Swan tastes like Goose, or so I've heard...
  11. Cooked a leg for the dogs once, it didn't taste good. Dogs never ate it either. I should try it again, older more educated taste buds and all that! I bet the Chinky could make it taste nice..............

    Pups

Accidental mateing, dont know how my mates dog made it from his yard to mine and then into the pen to the bitch. He managed to do this twice ha. Happened twice, are you joking? Anyway good luck with the pups.
  13. I think if your dog/bitch has a bad mouth and you want/need a pup from the same line then breed from its siblings. It should lessen the chance.
  14. Sorry mate couldn't help myself. Everything is better caught on a fly rod. Don't think they are that common, not round these parts anyway.
  15. Watch it they're proper poisonous!
  16. The "Psychoactive substance act" is said to be too hard to enforce, the main problem being that it is hard to prove that certain substances are psychoactive. Caffeine, nicotine and alcohol are not included....funny that! It's one of those laws that have been quickly brought into action, a bit like the dangerous dogs act. There will be loads of mistakes made before they get it right. There is/was a pain remedy available called Kratom (which is just a leaf from a tree) it was banned in Thailand because it conflicted with the opium trade but because the tree was native, the ban was unsuccessfu
