  1. Dog had his first this morning with the help of the ferret. They were running about every where and he put one to ground as it were. His tail was going so I could tell it wasn't far up inside the tree. I popped the ferret up inside and it was quiet for a minute then a right rumpus kicked off and out it came. It dashed under the dog and off he went 100% committed and looked like he was going to knock him self out on a tree at one point. He soon got it and was quickly over they pack a punch for a little thing but I used to get a few with the jack russell and ferret and never

  9. Bit more info from bass BASS measures 2016 Many thanks for pulling out all the stops in response to our calls for emails to the fisheries officials about the EU proposals for bass next year and catch and release bass angling. As a result of your efforts, anglers will be able to continue fishing for bass from January on a catch and release basis, with minimal impact on stocks, instead of being faced with a six-month ban. Not only will this help stocks to recover, it will help to safeguard the considerable income which bass angling generates and the jobs which are dependent on it. Nobody

  11. I am with petplan but vetsure just quoted me £6.24 for Veterinary Fees (per condition per year) £2000 for there basic cover so pondering on swapping. Had a quick google and few good reviews http://www.petinsurancereview.co.uk/vetsure.asp
  12. That is true the JR here was very level headed and sensible and a great worker. He wouldn't back down but was just quietly confident and apart from the great dane next door lol he never started any thing I had a lakeland that nearly killed him because he got out and the jr was chained up. The bloody thing just wanted to lock on to every thing in site apart from what he was meant too. Complete waste of time
  13. Its a funny old thing you can have ten sessions and catch sod all then another and catch half a dozen good fish. Not like your taking fish every trip. Obviously the more you get out and learn the score things start to swing in your favour. Some people return most there fish any way and others don't. I fall in the later category but I have also said when I catch that double its going back. It don't seem right to kill some that has managed to survive that long against the odds. Much rather take the nice 2-4 lbers home I fish with a chap who is really keen and and being retired he puts in the h
  14. Nice thought but you might as well tell her the truth
  15. I can see the ban on commercial fishing having a massive affect but can't see how stopping recreational anglers will have much impact. But there you go all for a good cause. Trying to enforce it won't easy as far as recreational goes I do admire a nice bass mind
  16. Just the ticket trev a little cracker that. Just goes to show through circumstance you can get the odd older dog that can be very useful

  20. Sounds like a tragic misfortune and the poor hounds copped it. Maybe he has a load of flighty sheep who just have to see a dog to start panicking so farmer is a bit protective. I guess if you ever go in the area again might be worth having a chat first in case. Even if your 5 mile up the road and give him a mobile or two. unless he cant be reasoned with at all then just avoid. Very sad
