    Bit of precision bruising last night at least it was the right end In fairness he is very good at least on the lamp and doesn't crunch them. This is one of his worser examples

    My dog is like that and what casso says rings a few bells. But mine out of the house wont fetch balls or dummies either. When we first started lamping he would catch a rabbit and bugger off a few yards but as he gained experience and its becoming less of a big thing to him he is now hardly walking off at all and hopefully in time I can turn him around. I find best to make no fuss and just walk up to him no calling or making a deal of it for the time being.

    4 on the trot last night but he has had 6. If the rabbit don't get in the hedge quick he don't miss many. I like to quit while I am ahead most the time and the dogs in one piece.

    walking the hedge rows as the light starts to change into dusk. Nice and peaceful and relaxing even more so when the dog is a bit tired after the previous nights efforts poors pictures as the camera didn't like the lack of light. and the end result is one tired, but happy dog

    A big part of it is having a dog to mark then you know there is some thing at home they will naturally get stuck in as long as its not too difficult. This little jill is about 7 - 8 months first trip out dog marked little 3 holer she went straight to it and came out behind it. She has done the same a few times now and is great to handle. I think you get problems when you start putting them in empty holes and they get the chance to mess about a bit. But if you don't have a dog you got to start some where.

    It was over a year ago and its a rare occurrence for him to throw the leg and getting rarer. Got be at least 3 months or more ago the last time and he done some grand work inbetween. I will just work him with in his capabilities and as his work load increases I am sure he will be fine if not he will do what I need any way. We don't have a bone man in this area or close that I know of anyway. Fighting fit this morning

    yea well I spoke too soon just got back from lamping and after half a dozen runs he threw the leg out. It happens very randomly and rarely can go 3 months or more. A little rub and walk it out and his fine. Zooming round house like a nut now. But it just goes to show got to be careful

    I was mad for it until my early twenties from about 12. Loved it. The wife, kids and work oh and debt lol mostly debt got in the way but started up again a few years back and wished I had never stopped. Its a healthy life style. The buzz from watching animals work is no less than it was thirty years ago. Never forget the look on my daughters face when a rabbit bolted and I went legging it up the hedge row shouting rabbit rabbit. She said why were you making them funny noises
