    I used to catch a bus to many of my hunting haunts,throw the catch over my shoulder and await the bus home,ive even sold rabbits on the homeward journey.You,d get plod on your case walking the streets carrying legitimate game now.

One of the biggest causes in my opinion is frecking badgers, I wander far and wide on my travels and the one thing that is clear to me is the more badgers on the land the less hares, I,ve also seen the growth of badger populations decimate areas once rich in hares, leverets are just eaten before they have a chance to stand up, a lot of these shoots though not legal and never talked about still gas badger sets and that's why they are running alive with hares, simples I fail to equate the Badger population with the amount of hares the land holds,some of the most productive coursing land i k

    The young lad has got it sorted lol.I allways wear 3 socks while ferreting. I educated my lad hard core,spring nettles to wipe his fritter on,he waited until he got home or went SAS and lived with the discomfort of a turtles head that upchucked in his trolleys.

    The only way to encourage a dog and a fox to fall out is to introduce them.I struggle to equate a staff,a fox and the majority of locations a fox needs to be encouraged to vacate.

    I lost some permission in the Dales to a couple of Seikhs out of Leeds many years ago,they were ferreting mad and useful at it.Years later,when i had no transport,a couple of Pakistani,s drove us up to the Dales and said the odd prayer and slit the throat of many a catch we made.Even later down the line the Pakistani,s,especially around the Lancashire area have become some of the finest exponents of Saluki bred Coursing stock.The main reason we don,t know about them is often because we are not in the know.

    One of the finest terriers ive had the pleasure to accompany me in the field was a cull in many a kennel at two years of age.6 months later she grew into her breeding and became the reason behind some of my most fondest hunting memories.Id own another like her,ill wager better dogs never got the chance to show their worth.

    It crops up on a regular basis on sites such as this that folk are reluctant to live with the temperament and nuances of a Collie bred jukel Phil. Id not own a lurcher that was not Collie infused now,or better still a lurcher that was not Collie influenced in its ability in the field and its Collie traits.
