    I won't even try and compete with craic as sharp as that ! Look I don't give a bollocks what anyone does, I have seen enough people kidding themselves on about what they have on The end of a lead. Personally, I have seen 2 decent dogs in my life (and one of them was a specialist ) and know of a couple of others.......you do the maths Algebra was not your lesson of choice.

    Id not ask our American cousins to put to much faith in Black terriers,the majority of the Black stuff shipped over the pond,apart from the cotton pickers,was third rate and the majority bred over here is no better.

    Then you are setting limitations that should not need setting.Id think about the terrain i work and intended quarry,if the terrain is not suited to the type of mutt you seek then its a pointless exercise.Homework first,second and third,then a well bred mutt that is capable of befitting your needs and future needs.We all start off wanting to kill a mouse and a year later want a dog thats capable of killing a bigger mouse,id not source a first dog that i could not live happily with for the next 12 years or more.

    You just need a terrier suited to fox work,now the majority of terriers are bred better suited to a shovel,a locating collar and a quick and expedient release clause in its breeding.

    There are Bedlingtons and then there are other Bedlingtons.In over 30 years ive never lost terriers entering as pairs and have purposely entered them at times,ive lost my share of individuals entering.The main things to take into consideration,know the lie of the land and know your charges and how they work,alone or together. hi can i ask why you would enter two dogs to ground is there something to be gained by this, personally i think it causes more problems than it cures. At times it happens as a result of the terriers bushing ahead of you,at other times ive extracted a fox or many more
