    I have a hills pump mark 2 . I am getting some seals to repair it . when looking for seals I noticed a lot of pcp pumps for £40 to £50 some with spare seals , hills pump seals costing £25. So my question is are this are the £40 to £50 pumps any good do they work , the adds claim higher pressures than my now old hills pump . has any one got one or used one ?

    the AA pellets are almost the same pellets as the jsbs , same weight , made by the same people , same lead one would think , out side shape looks the same just a little bit of a different shape in side the back of the pellet .

    jsb are nice pellets . they are soft lead . in rapid 7 mags when used the skirts of jsb pellets get damaged one can weaken the spring tension in the mag to stop this . you may have a similar problem ( I dont know how the bsa mag works I have never seen one in real life ) . or you may be damaging the pellets when loading the mag . Also 4.53 is a larger diamiter than 4.51 this may be the problem ????? . some pellets work better in different mags I have found .

    I am of the understanding englands entry into the eu is illegal so the hole eu law should be a scrub . send a letter to some one stating that and see what happens . nothing I will suspect ... media driven law ... the people running the show do what they want gun control is a major tenet attacking hunting is just another arm of gun control .

    I have had a load of random scopes work fine , I have had 3 or so that have blown up . one scope that blew up straight away was a hawke scope but I have a hawke scope that I think is one of my best scopes so just get an average scope and shoot it it may go wrong it may not , but as above if the gun has high recoil like an FAC gas ram or springer a bit care may be needed I think you can get mounts with some thing in it to stop recoil . The most destruction I had happen to a scope was on a bsa lightning fitted with a gas ram , the turret fell of while shooting .

    I think you should learn to make your own bands . I have been making mine since I was 9 years old every time I make a set I change what I do a little to get them better . sometimes bands last a few shots sometimes they last for hundereds of shots .

    JSB Exact Express as stated a good start , but try any light weight quality pellet that is accurate .

    sadly the only problem i see is the media and its constant need to attack air guns . The bird has been shot with a shot gun like a cat recently shot with a shot gun , but the media claim its an air gun in both cases . now there is a petition started because of these lies .

    All the lead free I have tryed are rubbish I did have some expensive ones that were ok out to 13 yards . Lead is the only way I have found . may there is loads of water ways around the shop .     I have one of these yukon sights . I am thinking of giving it to my brother but he has only got a hw77 spring gun . So have question has any one used one of these sights on a spring gun or similar ? I am wondering can the monocular in this set up take the recoil ? I have tryed searching the net but cannot find any thing . Any information will be a help thanks .

    Messed about with piledriver pellets 177 and 22 . 177 had 2 sizes the under sized 177 shot out of PCP verminator gun at 11.5 ft lbs no problem the correct sized 177 shot out well under power . in 22 the pile driver pellet shot out of theoben rapid 7 at 11.5 ft lbs no problem .I do wonder if that pushing the pellet into the rapid 7 with the probe may have sized the pellet before shooting . I would think the power drop you are getting is because the pellets you stated are tight in your barrel .

    I would think air guns are not going to be with us much longer , if our own side uses the NEWSPEAK term AIR WEAPON when discriping air guns . Using the term AIR WEAPON you have already lost your arguement , and are now using the newspeak term as it was intended .General air weapon Discussion

    The only advantages I see a pcp has . they are quiet , at night a mag full of shots in the dark ready to go . the add night vision is not to good on a spring gun . spring gun tough and reliable

    I HAVE A BSA LIGHTNING apart from the hard to pull trigger and the recoil in the light gun it shoots fine . A big problem that my gun had was the crown was terrible . I fixed it with valve lapping past , autosolve , a ball bearing and a bit of time . I would check this mine was a joke .

    something with mildot for sure 4x9x40 is all you will need , but get quality over size . not sure AO .big magnification and big lenses are always a good thing . a basic good quality 4x9x40 scope is better than a massive cheap scope with lights and knobs all over it . also GOOD QUALITY mounts

    There are laws and penalties now for allowing air guns to fall into the hands of children unsupervised . Licensing will make air gunning safer there will be less air guns .There is often the odd death each year from an air gun but a lot more deaths each year from licensed shotguns and the licensed shotgun owner has a clean criminal and mental history , may be its time to stop people with clean records from owning shotguns also , you know it makes sense . .

    Maybe some prespective should be used when defending air guns . All activites carry risk people die eating food . The fact is air guns are one of the safer activity in life must be mentioned fishing is more dangerous than shooting air guns, also I think one of the bigger killers of children is hourse riding https://www.horseandhound.co.uk/tag/rider-fatality cycling , skate boards and football must also have problems but the CAMPAIGNERS fail to mention this , we must when ever possible . as usual a licence will have prevented this HOW .

    theoben mags mess up the skirts of soft pellets 100% you have to weaken the spring in the mag to use jsb . aa ., hw 100 seem ok . mags are good shooting at night but if you have time in day light single shot is great . with single shot you can decock the gun . With my verminator M1 I can reload a few pellets into the mag and never take it out of the gun so I have always got 5 shots ready to go .yes single shot should be more accurate but some guns may have good mags that dont damage pellets at all .

    if you have a lathe get a titan xs spring make a tight spring guide out of derilin may be a top hat , and if the leather washer is ok just use as is . Thats what I would do .
