  1. Nothing truer said on here.....
  2. That'll be brutal to carry. Light and bow backed is the way to go!
  3. I certainly can.... I like to leave the digging to the professionals and just over see ha ha
  4. That terrier is great, it's such a shame it's got no nuts!
  5. Good read mate and a cracking weekend. It's not about the numbers, but the company! But I think we'd have caught more if we hasn't broken one and a half dogs on the first day. Saturdays adventure in the woods will stay in my memory for a long time..... It was fun, but could've gone really tits up! ..... And we ate well. You're welcome back anytime, as long as you bring the terrorist!
  6. Is it separate names or the sound of your voice? Mine will come to my voice. The old Jill would come out of the warren when done and go and climb into her box and curl up.
  7. Cheers all! Can't do pms at the mo, Internet down as someone crashed into the telegraph pole outside my house. The kennel will be roofed half solid and half mesh. For security as much as anything else. The entrances to the sleeping boxes are set to one side to keep them out if the draft and now have wooden flaps in them, that can be pulled down and locked.
  8. Cheers for all of the comments lads. Still a few things left to be completed on the kennels, needs a roof (half solid / half mesh), shutters between the box and run, and some security 'features'. Also need to get the inside sorted, for prepping. Want to put a sink in there next to the freezers and more storage etc etc. The pup is lurcher x lurcher, collie/whippet/grey x saluki/grey/collie/grey/bull/whippet. She is certainly bold, and strong. I measured her at 17tts at 3 months. Jim - I agree mate, and they mostly sleep in. But the kennels are useful, and i'm lucky I don't live in m
  9. Some may remember my thread a while ago asking about suggestions on kennels, so after taking on board what was said, they are almost done. . . And the pups is getting bigger, 3 months old last Sunday.
  10. Agreed. For a folding knife, get an opinel.
  11. While I agree that the police are idiots and don't agree with most if what's said....... It's difficult to deny that there are a lot if scum into hare coursing. Who probably would and do steal machinery etc. Anyone who disagrees...... Just have a think about how many coursing dogs get stolen?
  12. That may have something to do with us hunting them to f**k lol
  13. I think special is a pretty broad term.......
  14. Ferrets can't see under ground anyway.
  15. The best worker I've ever had was a silver. I've still got her here, but in retirement as she had a stroke or something similar. However I can see a grain of logic in what the op has heard. At the end of the day there are a lot of folk who breed for color and cash rather than working ability. So I would imagine there are quite a lot is silvers, bews etc out there that have been bred from non workers and jackers.
