  1. One thing I have fancied for a while. . . or rather fancied doing. Would be to bring over a really good stag hound bitch from a really well bred line, from the states, out of coyote dogs. The put a really well bred coursing dog over it. . . . . I'd be interested to see what came out. I'm not saying it would be better than anything else, or even suited to what I do. . . . but i wouldnt mind having a go.

I got a teckle x beagle cur, great wee dog and normal sized legs!
  3. Hello mate. Some one just said you were trying to get hold of me. Out ferreting at the mo, will on you later about those fenns.
  4. The light one it is then . . . . . but youre the one that's gonna get bitten . . . . you know that!
  5. Shame. . . . . I prefer the dark one
  6. Get in! My folks will be so proud. On a different note and cos your phones dead... Do you know which of mr snows two Jill's is better...... Need to draft in a sub!
  7. Even dances would have bagged up! Does this mean, until someone says a bigger number, I've got the biggest willy?
  8. Naaw it's all a myth, dogs can't kill foxes. Don't believe a word of it!
  9. Easiest big day in last couple of seasons was fifty odd in about 4 hours actual ferreting time. Was mainly due to land and weather conditions.
  10. Now there has been a lot of topics on here about feeding raw, and there has been some great information and advice given. However, I know that a lot of folk also feed dry, either exclusively, or as part of the diet, with raw meat etc added. I'm wondering what folk have found to be the 'best' dry food to feed your runners on? And i'm not looking for an explanation of how and why raw is better than dry, I understand the advantages of a BARF diet. What I want to know, is that when you need to or decide to feed dry food, which brand do you use, as there is a lot of shit out there.
  11. I'm looking for a number for a guy called Richard I think, a while back he had an ad running in the cmw advertising ferreting nets in gwent. If anyone's got a copy with the ad and could give me the number that'd be great.
  12. Long shot I know, but worth a try. I'm trying to get hold of a bloke who is local and makes rabbit and fox nets. I think he's called Richard and he lives in gwent. Now I'm pretty sure that for a few months he had an ad at the back of the cmw, if anyone has an old copy? It would be hugely appreciated!
  13. I always wonder why when some kind of scatter bred, accidental litter is about ...... Everyone says they will make top mooching, bushing or ferreting dogs. I mean, they probably wouldn't be totally shit, but is much rather buy something bred for the job with thought. Not just give 150 quid to a money grabbing woman, who's probably lacking shit about the parents working ability anyway.....
  14. It's not boring. But watch any of the classic matches from the golden era . . . . . and I think they ARE more interesting.
  15. I don't want a massive argument, I was just reading the locked thread earlier, and I was honestly wondering if there were folk on here working them?
  16. Ok. . . so i'm hoping that this won't be 'another E.U poley thread'. . . . . . . . . but that's how it will probably end up. . . I Malt - If you could let this run until either someone answers the question and we have a civil debate / discussion. . . . or it goes tits up. . . . then you can lock it with pleasure! My question is simple - for those folk who own what they claim (rightly or wrongly) to be wild polecats or hybrids, and work them, can anyone please tell me how their working style differs to a standard (quality) working ferret, and what advantages this differing style brings
  17. Aye. . . . why not get a pure beddy. . .at least youre half way there lol!
  18. Yes mate, it's banging! You can see why the country has such a high rate of heart attack! What was your beer of choice? And did you try the palinka? lol.
  19. To be honest a cocker could be pretty hectic for a child. We have a seven month dog here, very well bred, goes 100 mile an hour all the time. I'd either get a terrier from non digging background or a x bred dog. My little beagle x is soft as shit and pretty easy.....
  20. Did you try langos?
  21. And if you got coursing dogs ...... Get used to being paranoid!
  22. Well ... That was written by a woman. They would probably catch the odd rabbit, but no more than a lot of other mongrels.
  23. Can't see ad on phone, what's the mystery x?
