    I have one. He's more like a lurcher than a whippet, as said, not as fast, but that's good because if he was he'd probably have killed himself. The dog has great drive, great hunting ability, is very strong. He's not scared of anything, and has done some stuff I was surprised about. I had some good chats with mike and ended up driving up to his to get my lad direct from him.

    f****d his foot . . . . well his toe. It's ironic really, the dog is a patch work of scars and holes. . . . and he's always come back from it. . . . An this really seemed very minor, but is causing way more grief. . . .

The gist is just. . . . if you have a specially line bred racing dog. . . . don't go touring round the country, thinking youre billy big bollocks, because you beat some bull x's, collie x's and other types. Go and race some proper dogs and go find out what you got. That's not aimed at you. You have a working dog, that also happens to be fast as feck. . . .why not race it.

    Think we're going to start the gears of war rolling this weekend Can't wait to be honest, got a load of new permission to walk and see what's what, and a few clear open spots to be getting on with. My right hand dog is fecked, but it's time to see what the young guns can do

    You got the answers to the question you asked. With regards to health, I can't see a problem if both pups are healthy and free from disease.

    I've not got an issue with racing dogs. . . . But there are a lot of folk, who take speciallly bred raced dogs, or even un tatooed greys, and run them at the game fairs and terrier and lurcher shows. . . . It's like a premier league football team doing a tour of the sunday leagues, because they will win a load of trophys. . .

Although to be honest, if I was after something around a half x, i'd us fujis Don, over a racier bitch, i'd go for the slightly more collie in it, for the general all round hunting ability and physique as well as certain mental attributes. . . . id use him to , in fact ive been hoping someones going to be using him on a bitch and have pups available, been asking around but had no luck if i was breeding i wouldnt care about % if they can

    ..... Hence I said absolute necessity.... But you get plenty if folk new to the game who get two, three or more pups in the same shirt time, because they decide they want a lurcher for rabbits, a bigger lurcher and a terrier and want them all now...... It wasn't a dig at you mate.

    Unless you've bred the litter yourself and are running a few pups on, or it's absolute necessity..... I really don't get what would posses people to do it! Just kinda makes me think the folk have that now now now attitude and no patience, wanting an instant team. Get one dog, get it right and then from there look for another. Quite possibly the first will make you change your mind about the second you get....
