  1. No!.....that's what he wants.....why give him the pleasure? 2500 calories a day pumped into him........until he tells where the boy is buried.
  2. Can you not ask the guy you bought it off for the vaccination certificate that the vet would have filled in................but the again if he could not be bothered to worm the pups, really, what hope is there that they were vaccinated? It sounds like your pup was carrying a heavy infestation.
  3. He will do much better without all those worms in his gut. Don't forget to keep up the worming regime. Good luck with him.
  4. Congenital deafness and blindness runs with the merle gene. Maybe your pup will more naturally use his eyes and look at you to communicate via body language and hand signals. Good luck with him.
  5. Chart's a good vet once said to me don't clean a wound on a dog with anything that turn's white in water as it can cause an infection within.. Was that vet an old wife?
  6. Looks like a GSD cross to me..............good luck whatever it is
  7. Iv'e heard some horror stories about dogs swallowing lumps of those things and they swell and block dogs guts etc. I avoid them to be honest - i'd sooner give my dog a bone or something that breaks up when chewed - a biscuit type treat or even a carrot or apple.
  8. Some very interesting reading on this thread. MoChara - how do your dogs live .....in or out? If my dog were doing that, I would suggest spending one-to -one time with it for a few minutes several times a day, reinforcing basic commands and manners to encourage it to respect you more - probably done in the form of a game - when he gets to play tug with a toy for responding to your clear and consistent commands. Keep it upbeat and positive, rather than feeling you are dominating the dog into submission. Also, I would make sure it is not allowed on the furniture etc.
  9. That's to persuade you to drink less, the experts also say drinks bad for you too, as well as the burgers, chips and coke.
  10. Get that behaviour sorted NOW before you end up with two dogs who are neurotic/aggressive around food to start with and goodness knows where it will end. Get into a routine, with you setting the agenda. Feed the dogs separately and have specific feeding times, stop the constant dry food. You should dictate what they eat, when they eat, where they eat and when feeding time is over - lift any food that has not been eaten.
  11. Who cries the most......the gentlemen or the ladies?
  12. You could always butter a few baps and bring your own picnic.......? youd need to if its anything like shanes.20 odd quid 2 burgers 1 chip n 2 coke.. I have spoken to the caterer and the cost of the meal quoted for 2 burgers 1 chip and 2 cokes would have been £13.00. That included the caterer providing a marquee with tables and chairs for people to sit in if it rained and did it rain on the Sunday! The burgers and chips were excellent and in my opinion fair value for money especially when the tentage was included. But as LF says you do have the option of bringing a sandwich. Q
  13. Just say a dogs DNA comes back showing it is 98.5% greyhound and 1.5% deerhound............is it still a 'lurcher'? And if so, would other competitors be happy to line their dog up on the starting line beside it without crying either at the time or afterwards?
  14. You could always butter a few baps and bring your own picnic.......?
  15. Indeed. If I had no food for my dogs, they would be getting half of mine. just half? u selfish sod lol Aye - half between the three of them. I hate to see a fat dog .
  16. Indeed. If I had no food for my dogs, they would be getting half of mine.
  17. Got my terrier's away 5 years ago for £. No problems since. Job well done.
  18. I know what you’re thinking: "Did he fire six shots, or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?
  19. Up ye, down ye and three times round ye!
  20. In the city i live in there are plenty of places, parks, river walks etc as well as the footpaths - but as these are public places I think all dogs should be kept on leads......less risk of people and other dogs getting injured that way.
  21. gnasher16 what really pisses me before we let any of the kids in the team on the pitch we allways have check for dog shit lads good thank mate atb john I do not take my dogs to public parks anymore because of the dangers of loose, out of control dogs. I quite agree with the dog turd problem as well. Having said that, every time there are whispers of more dog control laws etc........................................the same crowd throw up their hands crying 'no!'. I feel people with dangerously out of control dogs should be hammered - no ifs, no buts......hammered by the law. Fines
  22. The dogs?......the owners?.....or both?
  23. Now there was a film........
  24. Been through that way on the train...................................................some nice open fields there.
