  1. Thanks to those who PMed me to admire the trophies we have presented to be retained by the winners of the three 2018 Champion of Champions. We thought we would try to acquire quality trophies for what should be a really prestigious event. The Terrier Trophy is a heavyweight vintage bronze trophy; the Lurcher Trophy was previously presented to the winner of a 2004 race at Hall Green and is a real stunning trophy and the whippet trophy is a smart head mounted on marble.
  2. We are very happy to support Micky's event for a very worthwhile charity Many families including our own work with children who have autism. We are providing quality antique trophies to be kept by the owners of the three 2018 Show Champion of Champions and in association with Janet Duke coats for the racing winners. We are also sponsoring dog food prizes in association with Feedwell Dog Food. This should be a superb 'end of season' event which deserves your support.
  3. I know two people allegedly involved in the alleged incident but not the third who I understand has recently come to NI. I have known both for several years but I am not close friends with either. One has helped on occasions with the racing at the fair, along with several other people who would not be considered 'part of the 'Game Fair team'. The other was helpful in suggesting and facilitating UK judges. As I said I was not present at the event, where the alleged incident took place nor had I any connection with the event and like you I didn't see the incident. So i prefer not to speculate. As YOU should know very well, I do not condone violence or the threats of violence at our events.
  4. Marydoll why don't you say what you have to say under your own name. Some Facts : 1. NO ONE involved in this alleged incident is part of our 'Game Fair team' 2. I am not in any trouble with Antrim Council
  5. I wish to make it clear to Marydoll - who it would appear to be a man masquerading again in 'women's clothing' - that I had absolutely nothing to do with this alleged incident or indeed the show where it is alleged to have taken place. So I cannot for the life of me understand why I should get a mention in his latest tirade. Just like him I wasn't at the show and didn't see what happened AND unlike him I don't operate on the basis of hearsay. or make ill informed comments. And of course this could well be viewed as the 'pot calling the kettle black.'!
  6. On behalf of the Great Game Fairs of Ireland team I would like to thank everyone who supported the 40th Anniversary ALL IRELAND Game Fair at Shanes Castle on the 23/24 June 2018. With your help we delivered the largest ever Irish Game Fair, with the greatest number of competitors, the largest ever attendance at any Irish Game Fair ever and perhaps even more importantly for the defence of our sports the best positive publicity with unrivalled pre fair publicity and massive post fair publicity to come including three BBC programmes and several others. A lot of charities benefited with Ken Lindsay's charity collection for the Children's Hospice benefitting from a large donation from the organisers of the terrier & lurcher racing and show; gundog & clay shooters returning their winning cheques; our own top up donation and the Smith's Scooby winning the Master McGrath for the 2nd year. Last year the Smiths gave their substantial winning cheque back for Ken's charity and this year you would have thought that this lion hearted dog was running for charity again. Running with a damaged foot he swept through to make another very handsome donation from the Smiths and him to our charity.
