  3. What sort of trailers might you be selling?
  4. Funny enough the connemara x my fella bought will probably be sold to knackers yard in a year or so, after seeing my new filly hes finally realising I wasnt being mean when I told him she was a heap of shite I remember the photo of that one.....did you ever do anything with it?
  5. He probably was not an 'experienced killer', just a fecked off member of the public sickened by this woman's continuous lack of responsibility..........a bit like the 'Death Wish' films......a bit of social justice...?
  6. i agree about dogs running loose getting caught up, but not about dogs in public places being on leads. i enjoy taking my dogs out to parks/canals/rivers/nature reserves as well as less populated places, the dogs enjoy it even more! they shouldnt have to miss out cos there's a minority out there who cant socialise and control there own dogs. I no longer take my dogs to public parks because of the number of times out of control dogs cause trouble, my elderly terrier (on lead) near had its guts ripped out by a dog running loose. Did the owner of the large attacking dog give a fuk........

  8. I would not consider using a phone when the driver is supposed to be concentrating on the road as 'petty', i'd call it irresponsible and dangerous......
  9. Well done, that man! It boils my piss to see dogs running out of control causing havoc, endangering other dogs and children. i do think it is time all dogs are kept on leads in public places and any found running loose should be scooped and dealt with because their owners obviously don't care.
  10. You do the best you can, mate, that's all you can do.......chin up for the family
  11. So, the pup is lively and well in itself?......I wouldn't worry too much, just make sure fresh water is always available for it beside its food.
  12. Where do you get the multi vitamin powder from? And do you feed a spoon of that daily? I would ideally like to come away from the complete but don't have time to sort vegetables everyday. Cheers Gaz Get to Iceland and buy frozen veg - most of it is £1 per kg or so. Then just use some each day as needed.............maybe give the sweetcorn a miss though - comes out the same as it goes in unless you put it through a blender first
  13. My whippy x grey x collie type is 22" and 13 kg (2 stone). It is a quite light built dog. I like to use my eyes and hands to judge its condition and don't worry too much about weighing unless it is to calculate medications.
  14. What exactly is it that you want to do with a new pup?
  15. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly...............and staying in the Western theme................ Calamity Jane.....
  16. Terrible when that happens. Were all the dogs on leads? At least the neighbour is as you say ashamed......many other pricks would be proud. Hope your dogs are ok.
  17. A program about Barry Flannagan, artist who made sculptures of hares. Worth a look from an artistic/cultural angle, perhaps?
  18. Some good advice on this thread - take heed of it people! Unfortunately in a few weeks time another similar thread will reappear...........
  19. Realistically speaking - what is the outcome of using a captive bolt gun on a dog - instant death/unconsciousness or some protracted affair? If it was the safest/quickest way to do it under the circumstances, perhaps it was the best option? I don't see it as cruel to humanely destroy dogs which are unwanted or dangerous,I see is as just dealing with an unfortunate man made problem.
  20. Mine live in the house so when just out walking in the rain, I stick nylon showerproof coats on them in the winter, really just to keep them cleaner/drier when they come back in the house.
  21. It wasn't so long ago that we were reading on here about some boy's saluki being killed by his rottweiller. People always think 'it will never happen with my dogs, I know my own dogs' until it does.......to me, it isn't worth taking the risk.
