Wise decision. Even though your dogs are separated, they will still be able to see each other and interact. My lurcher, in a moment of high excitement, lifted my terrier bitch (her best mate) by the head recently and shook her for a few seconds, causing injury. I was there and able to stop it, otherwise it would have likely been lights out for the terrier. It was a real sickener for me. When dogs are left kenneled together........there is no escape, especially if you are not there 24/7 to step in, and realistically, who is?
