    I looked into going over with the missus and dogs but decided not to due to the weather,If i was going to travel all that way I'd want the weather to be scorching. I'm also glad I didn't go I the end. The amount of biitching that goes on after some of these shows is a joke. Stupid allegations of bitches entering in dog classes Why do people moan on here? If my dog was racing and a dog not eligible for that class was entered I would certainly object there and then. I wouldn't wait until after the show to accuse people of cheating or call the judges.     Glad the kids enjoyed their day and got the rosettes to take home as a souvenir. I brought a friend and her two kids with me both days - they didn't mind the rain or mud and were sad to go home when it was over. They said they were going to start saving the pocket money for next year. All in all I thought it was a great experience.

    That's shocking news. Did the Saluki jump out of the pen? Was there a roof on it? Frequently on this forum the question is asked 'can I kennel my lurcher and terrier together?' or ' can i kennel my bull cross and whippet/grey together?'or 'should i put my 12 week old pup in with my old dog to keep it company?' I think the very basic way to look at it is all dogs could turn on each other and when there is no escape.............the consequences are disasterous. Best sort out your set up and best of luck whatever you decide.

    I ordered a few of the fancy whippet collars with brass studs. They are very nice quality and arrived within a couple of days, well packaged etc. I would definitely buy from them again.

    Well I think she is a real star......she has certainly written a load of fantastic songs that have stood the test of time...simple heart touching lyrics and melodies which we don't often see these days. Good on ya Dolly!

    My dogs get put in crates when i have visitors. They like the crates.....that is where they get fed, they don't mind sitting in the crates, it is a positive experience......food comes when they wait in there. Much more pleasant for visitors and less stressful/exciting for the dogs. If I leave the living room door open, the dogs can see the visitors. If children come to visit, the living room door stays shut.

    I think it's just a sign of the times - you are competing for university places against all the people who, even though they are younger than you, already have entry level qualifications and even then, there isn't enough places for them. Can you not do the access course at a local college? I know people who have done it part-time at college and then got in that way. Good luck.
