  1. Nice young pups with the potential to be good dogs take it easy, let them be pups, train them and don't ask too much too soon.......good luck!
  2. Keep up the contact with the local paper..............it is after all a matter of public interest.......being robbed in the local supermarket.
  3. Lets hope that your neighbours appreciate that your guard dog is a form of community warning service too.....if these scumbags are snooping round your property, i'm sure they wouldn't pass up the opportunity to thieve from the neighbours as well.
  4. It's a real shame that folks are complaining about your meet ups. Are they held on public land? Do you need/have permission to organise activities there? Do the dogs taking part have to wear muzzles? Hope all goes well - but just think about safety and what would happen if someones wee dog running loose wanted to join in the fun.
  5. Drink certainly can have a lot to answer for. Having said that, i do enjoy the occasional splurge of whiskey or Guinness.
  6. A blind relative was telling me just last week that they were making their way along a street recently (without a guide dog) when a dog ran out of a garden barking and jumping at them. When they started calling for help, the owner then appeared and tried to blame the blind person for the whole situation. Disgusting! Shame it didn't have a noisy collar on, don't they play visually impaired footy with a bell in the ball A truly frightening experience for a woman who lives independently and who has worked all her life, just trying to make her way along a street with the aid of a whit

  8. Sometimes small dogs can be he cheekiest and quickest to cause problems.......they haven't been trained, socialised or encouraged to be mannerly - just carried about or allowed to run riot once the novelty of owning a dog wears off. So yes, I wouldn't hesitate to launch my boot into one that was causing problems...........especially attacking a dog on a lead, which can cause temperatment problems for the future, perhaps causing a fear/aggression reaction.
  9. my pup has chew that many wooden spoons we have shares in woodland, chewed £200+ shoes, made the law look like a teabag with that many holes, pooed and wee'd on the floor that many times its unreal, kept me up all night with whining, thrown up on the sofa about 6 times, ripped up duvets and rugs, ripped up a 24 pack of loo roll in the front room, and many similar things, and still not one of us in the family would consider getting rid of her. so look at yourself before you try and justify why you got rid of your dog. Dogs can be 'moved on', 'traded in for a new mode', 'swapped' or 'upg
  10. so why look at the thread then , title says it all And why not..............? your not interested From a human behaviour point of view, I find it interesting that both activities rule some peoples outlook on life...........I personally, as previously stated, think both are a load of crap.

  12. The dog pound would be the first place I would look. Let the wardens know it is missing - they will then know to contact you if they pick it up. Hope it turns up ok.
  13. Try taking it to another vet who will see it before Friday evening. Hope it is ok.
  14. Well said. Had the Germans won the war, I think it would have been naive of Ireland to imagine they would have stayed off their hit list for long. We could all have been speaking German today.
  15. Football and religion.............both a lot of crap to me.
  16. Use a crate in the house to teach it to have its own space. A pup having the run of the house, plus all the excitement as mentioned before sounds like a recipe to piss everybody off.
  17. Good luck. Will you look for another job now? What sort of thing would you fancy doing?
  18. My blood is boiling just reading this. After having mine attacked by loose dogs, I never take my dogs to public parks now, i'd sooner walk the roads, always carrying my 'walking stick' blackthorn with a brass handle (fondly known as the cranium cracker). Next time mine come under attack from out of control dogs I would have no hesitation reporting it to the police but will say the attacking dog attacked me.....look - ripped coat etc where the attacker took hold. Imagine the carnage if it were a kid out walking their pet.
  19. There's a lot to be said for being young(ish), free and single.................
  20. She only needs to thank the mate's wife for taking him off her hands.
  21. Nice to know they were concerned with your welfare.
  22. Nice pups.............I hope they work out well for yous. I like the brindle one
  23. Sportsmanship from people who take these things too seriously when they don't win.
  24. Waste of a bullet..............hammers and kitchen knives ready!
