The Combined Clubs Dog Show and Northern Ireland Champion of Champions Saturday 7thSeptember 24 Laurencetown is famous for its green fields, ancient buildings, walled gardens and extensive lawns stretching down to the River Bann. But as well as these famous landmarks, Laurencetown can add another string to its bow by adding the annual Combined Clubs Dog Show and Northern Ireland Champion of Champions to its attractions and venue. Up with the lark on Sunday morning just as dawn was breaking and in a very short time we were heading up the road to meet with some friends and then on to the beautiful Maghera countryside and the venue for The Glenshane Working Dog Show and Race Day. And what a day and venue that was. I said this last year and I will say it again this year, this is one of the best venues in Ireland to hold a dog show in. Meath Foxhounds Dog Show Saturday 15th June 24 The townland of Cortown on the outskirts of Kells, Co Meath was the venue for the Annual Meath Foxhunt Dog Show Saturday 15th June 24. Ater leaving home early and with the help of Mrs Sat Nav we arrived at our destination at around 12 noon. The venue was excellent with rings well spaced out, burger van and toilets on site. Mick Mc Cormack was there with everything you could need in Country Sports and also a very nice stand with some beautiful Jackets and country sports clothing. The Annual DWTC Dog Show Sunday 26th May 24. The sun was beaming down on the Gilford countryside last Sunday morning 26th May 24 as the good canine folk from North and South of the border made their way to the DWTC (Tom Barrys) annual dog show. This location was an excellent venue for a dog show with good ringside parking and well spaced out rings. The good weather brought the crowds out to full capacity. The children were bouncing about enjoying themselves in the mid-day sun, while the older folk showed off their prized canine friends in the different ring categories. From earl

TALLY HO AND AWAY WE GO WAS ON THE LIPS OF ALL GOOD CANINE FOLK AS THE ROAD LAY BEFORE THEM AND BALLEE PLAYING FIELDS,BALLYMENA CAME INTO SIGHT ON SATURDAY 25TH MAY 24 I HAD LOOKED FORWARD TO THIS SHOW FOR MANY MONTHS ONLY TO FALL AT THE LAST HURDLE AND END UP IN A&E WITH A SEPTIC ANKLE FROM A CLEGG BITE GIFTED TO ME WHEN WE WERE OUT LURING OUR WHIPPETS THE PREVIOUS TUESDAY EVENING.
