  1. An abomination but delicious! HA
  2. Basically how I make mine. Self raising Wholemeal, egg, milk. I save the sugar for the topping.
  3. Choc spread Bacon and syrup Jam Berries and syrup
  4. No, lol. Good news though, China are apparently banning the consumption of wild meat to prevent future epidemics. Certainly won't hurt the conservation of many threatened species!
  5. Yeah I did. I can't really remember my thoughts on it. I think it felt real 'lightweight'. Technology wise though the brand is licensed to use Gore-Tex so that makes it a serious contender to me. The fella who founded Kuiu, originally founded Sitka but didn't like the direction the company was headed so got out and set up Kuiu. A real successful man who incidentally committed suicide a couple years back.
  6. He'd get lost in any of the adults sized jacket then I reckon. Like I said medium is the smallest size in the yukon, it's too big for me and I'm 5'9" and over 70kg.
  7. Tried Deer Stalking UK, who have thousands of members, but not accepting my join request. And you have to be a member of that group before you can join their selling page. Wondered if there was any others folks know of?
  8. Don't be mate, I'm a complete f***ing dick because I tried one on at their trade stand in Dortmund last year and I knew then it was too big if I'm honest! The brand is getting to be the 'must have' now because it's designed for extreme 'hunter athletes', lol, but despite that I genuinely believe that they are more focused on producing the best performing gear than other companies are. I did a fair bit of research on modern hard shell technologies and it came down to Gore-Tex (I swear by GTX), or Toray. The Kuiu (uses Toray) was cheaper than any GTX I could find so went with them.
  9. It's just the fit mate. It's too baggy for me to be happy with. In their other stuff medium fits me perfectly and I wanted a new hard shell so thought f**k it I'll have one of theirs but it's more like a large imo (due to their layering system and it being the outermost layer). I should have just sent it back but didn't. I'll hardly wear it because of the fit so might as well try to move it on and recover some of the money. Tbh if I don't get a sensible price then I'll just hang on to it.
  10. Kuiu Yukon hard shell jacket in medium. No one on here will want it I guarantee but there'll be a ton of folks who feel the need to comment why it's shit, overpriced, the wrong colour, what I should've bought etc etc. Target audience is really going to be lads already wearing kuiu gear in the UK. I've tried joining some of these big FB private selling pages but not getting accepted for various reasons.
  11. I've got a few bits and bobs to sell and want to advertise them in the right place but dunno where's best? It's mostly stalking related. Facebook groups etc? Anyone? ps I doubt anyone on here wants it so just looking for suggestions. Cheers
  12. Bloody hell, that got a bit serious. Someone used the C-word!
  13. Be the f***ing munch bunch I tell ya!
  14. As in hydrogen fuel cells? If we were to start from scratch then imo YES, it's a more practical solution. The reason, imo, that it has basically died a death is because our current energy infrastructure is heavily based on electrical energy. It's literally everywhere in society. It's just a shitty technology because the energy density of batteries is like 40-50 times less than petroleum type fuels. To move to a much more environmental/healthy hydrogen based technology would require billions spending to overhaul our infrastructure. Simply, transitioning to batteries rather than fuel cells is ch
  15. If you rotate the collar through 90 degrees the reading will change by as much as 50%. To read right the collar has to be 'pointing' at the box. I'm not saying it wasn't but if the dog was rolling and twisting a lot it'll cause the reading on the box to change significantly. Just a thought....
  16. Everything is or has statistics, so I'm gonna struggle to figure anything out unless I believe at least some. Lol. I get what youre saying and I'm not really weighing in on this, simply highlighting that the point has entirely been missed in all the outrage. The first couple of pages on this thread are argueing over a mute point. The topic is public health, not climate change.
  17. The point that everyone seems to have missed.
  18. I think you've read that wrong mate. The way I read it I took that he shares your view.
  19. Great post mate. I'd quite fancy going to the Falklands for a look around. If I'm not mistaken they have an introduced herd of caribou? Strikes me as a place where they could benefit from a bit of hunting and fishing tourism. Looking forward to your future posts.
  20. Similar story with the French terrierman Blaze. I can't stand all that bollocks.
  21. Me leaving work on a Friday...
  22. Depends where you can find the opportunities. If you can get the right leads then the states without doubt imo. Getting a black bear bayed up on the ground or a lion in a tree, approaching that out of breath and with aching muscles must be absolutely exhilarating! Then you have the staghounds running coyotes and barn hunting coons with terriers. Hog dogging in the South. Heaps of quite special dog work and that's without even considering gundogs. Scandi or Eastern Europe might be worth a look, they do a lot of interesting stuff. Mostly involves guns though from what I have seen. Pig
