Kennelled. Simply because I don't like dogs in the house and it means I can go for a night out without worrying about f***ing dogs, lol. Walked once a day, fed once a day, allowed the run of the yard for a couple hours a day. I love the summer months, simply because I get to spend more time just enjoying the dogs outside. Winter I'm less inclined to but equally they get worked then of course. No idea if it makes for a better or worse dog but I'm damned sure it doesn't make for any less of a contented dog. The only caveat I would add is that I wouldn't like a dog to be out on it's own

Nahhh, ya reckon? For the younger generation actors I reckon he’s about as manly as they get on the A list. He’s a bit of a pretty boy I guess, but that’s just the way it is with this generation.

I think the case fatality rate for the Spanish flu was 10-20% though mate (for reference regular flu kills 0.1%). And according the wikipedia it had a second outbreak (H1N1) in 2009 with very different consequences. That's what I keep getting at with these pandemics that everyone gets doom mongery over, 'we' have progressed to a level that is just a bit too good at dealing with these things. In the absence of our knowledge of infectious disease then we could expect this coronavirus to kill a few million, sure, but as evidenced by history, with modern science and technology we can seriousl

I don't seem to be much of a fan of gays but I like to think I'm fairly objective and able to separate my prejudices, perhaps, from my rational thinking. Do you think exposure to homosexuality during childhood is going to do anything other than make you accepting of it? I mean, assuming an otherwise healthy upbringing and exposure to the diversity of life/society, ie heterosexual relationships? I can see it being a problem if the parents had some chip on their shoulder and made heterosexuality out to be wrong or whatever but otherwise?

In that everything came from somewhere before they got to where they are, if ya get me? I accept that the Lab owes it's name to the Labrador region of Canada and the original blood came from there but I think the real work on refining the breed into what it is today was done here?

The Lab can probably be fairly given to the Buccleuch in the borders. Fen dogs... obvious? or did the significant men predominantly come from elsewhere? The English Foxhound?

Yeah, I don't know either. The point I was getting at was that I was under the impression that the lakes produced fox killers, not digging dogs. It was when the blood was taken south that it became refined into what it is known for today? Was it really worth sullying our good reputation by mentioning the Clumber, Tomo?
