Yes, you’re right GM, I guess they will be found mostly where their ‘hosts’ are found, like you say Reed warbler and then up at mine meadow pipits, great birds to see.
Was up at my bolt hole in the dales this afternoon...we always have cuckoo here, only a small ghyll but they come back every year...watched 3/4 different birds being followed by meadow pipits with some wheatear shifting around....proper upland niche birds.....
Just booked Vietnam and Laos in August for 3 weeks, doing a lot of the places you have down mate......will stick some pics up...love the area and travel rod will go, normally manage to wet a line off the beaten track.....
Can remember watching a European final/game as a kid and he scored a thumping header from a corner .....just one of those that sticks in my mind but can’t recall the opposition......am sure someone will remember ...
Got a long tailed tit nesting in my hedge and saw first swallows yesterday.......got a crow building in one of my trees which is going to get it......also a pair of magpies further up the garden in some dense conifers but they know I’m after them !
