Nice, was up north last week, in places we normally see big numbers there were very few.....had 3 over a few days...

In Yorkshire it’s got to be the Esk or if you fancy a punt the [BANNED TEXT].......I know of one or two on the [BANNED TEXT] where fish have been taken. The Swale aswell, both have runs now.....get out and give it a go, you might get lucky...how you going to be fishing for them ?

Talking to a lad I know tonight that got pulled in for a knife fight....all on cctv but Bali’d Up.......had a lovely slice across the bridge of his nose but didn’t know what plod were talking about.....

Things you did back then......once caught starlings in a simple box trap baited with bread and got my old dear to cook them .......never again......used to tie fishing line to their legs and fly them round the garden !

Nothing wrong with feeding ponds beyond the season limit.....put a bit back into the cycle and just ....maybe just ...the duck will remember next season where there was some good feeding...

Once shot a teal on a frozen pond, it went under the ice (water was only a foot depth).....it was swimming about under the ice and the dog couldn’t understand why it couldn’t pick it up......was driving it mad

Can’t beat a bit of duck flighting......will they come, won’t they come.....the sound of pinions in the sky....teal buzzing round like moths....just started feeding up a pond in a wood.....will give us a bit of sport next week ......you can have a lot of fun with a puddle...

Was out today duck flighting and took the spaniel out for half hour to blow away some energy, managed a left and right on rabbit and woodcock......shot bolting rabbit and a woodcock exploded from my feet at the shot and to my surprise folded up ...Up north in a couple of weeks chasing the woodcock again........nailed 17 last year between 3 of us..
