  1. thanks mate, yeh deff bit of meat on it .
  2. Had cracking mooch the other day, they been shooting by the wood, they got few birds there , they got few pheasants / partridge , more partridge , the owner asked if i ever see any foxes let him know , ive found the odd couple in the wood that been wounded that Buck found before, so i know you always get something either muntjac or fox. went over there 5pm nice hour before dark ,and nobody about, both my dogs got great noise , old Bryn and Buck spot on , Bryn mooches for 5-8mins then comes back, but Buck just go if on sent , more so if sees anything, been walking 50 mins, heard crash
  3. if he beat him mick, who Aj got say end of the year to fight , hope fury and wilder get it on soon, then Aj can fight the winner
  4. yeh , it ok having that pace from the hound, but it can knock'um about, hitting things , thats why i like my 1xs , they got the pace , but there tough with it, they take the bumps ok, hope dog better.
  5. haha , feck'um stick with a lurcher , at least ours catch our dinners , well mine did to night , filling me freezer and plenty dinners for the dogs, let keep there cockpoos lol.
  6. it strange that regards height of these types, because i meet a bloke who got 4 deerhoundx greys types he dont work dogs there just pets, there from the rescue center. just as you say big tall elegant dog easy 30ins, very gentle dogs, now onr thing ive noticed about them compared to Buck who 28 in , so he not small , he is far more agile than there tall dogs, he can turn far more quicker than them when they have run about and play, there not lot in it top end either , its prob because all herding type dogs are agile/ fast collies, kelpies , Alsatians , Buck and Bryn are very agile dogs
  7. very true , i see these types alot on my walk, it on common ground, so you get lot of dog walkers go there. Being honest these type dogs are ok, there like our dogs hybrid's= x breds , there have good coats most dont shed hair, cockerpoos nice size for in a house, soo all in all nt bad little pet type dogs. But when ive spoke to them, after they relished my dogs wont hurt them or there pets, and ive told them mine are the same as there = x breeds, and they cost no more than£ 40 - 50 quid , they are gob smacked lol. i told them there plenty of mongrels , lurchers, etc crying out for a cha
  8. spot on, Aj spoke the truth , he thought fury won the fight, and said fury showed very good boxing skills, and not fought for near 3 years fury shocked wilder, who though it be a easy win.Aj want to fight wilder to get the other belt, wilder should come over here and fight Aj in April , and the winner gives fury a go later. i reckon fury should fight white this year, keep all the heavyweights active, there seems to me that none of them fight more 2-3 times a year , ithink they should 3-4 times a year, what you reckon on this Mick .?
  9. yep, and nice x as well, hope it goes to good caring working home .
  10. wonder if this be vacant long ? , i know you get use of a motor, and place to live either house , or rented flat , just wonder what the money would be like, as you still got to run the place = oil. electric , food , and not sure about the c/tax , as i used know a keeper got the house/motor , but at to pay the rest up front from his wage, which was about minimum/wage . this was just pheasant/partridge shoot .
  11. looks nice dog , any more pics of it ?
  12. why not keep the big dog, if doing the job, and producing pups, and he dont look old , see how his pups tun out, if good get a pup from him in couple years, and think about it .?
  13. on paper its good x, Trunk on here and couple more run this x,Trunk happy with his dogs , but like any dog there all different , even in the same litter , you might get a good'un or crap one, trunk uses his dogs for fox control most of the time , he in Ireland . and your young dog 7 month old , you could have bit more training probs , as the younger the better with any dog, to bond and influence it, 8- 12 weeks old best age for a pup, you still get there with yours but alot harder job than young pup deff, best of luck with it , put few posts up how you get on .
  14. think the answer is in there above, its when you been working , then gone to bed same night, its your job by the sound of it, change your job, dont know old you are but retrain for differnt kind of work. i didnt carried on , and fooked me self up in the end, wish i changed jobs back then, you only pass this way once , look after yeh self mate,
  15. yup , never noticed the dog, lol i would have thought the kangal as good , both do similar job , and prob the kangal more healthier type dog of all the big breeds .
  16. thats what i was getting at Tomo , you seen old Bryn run a bit in the day on few bolters , and in his day Bryn was fast for 1x collie x grey , and dont catch them all, not all rabbits are slow, where i lived before south staffs your dog do well to catch bloody dozen in some places. i think what ever the type x lurcher , you need at least 3/8s running dog or 4/8s .
  17. 100% mate , there are tough/brave fookers its on the telly again the SAS new series , this time they got women in it, started with 40 recruits , only 4- 5 will make it to the end to pass , great tv .
  18. yes my younger brother , years ago we were both in our late teens , so not little kids etc. i t was our family dog a ( dalmatian ) about there normal size for the breed 25in 55lb there abouts, so not a over big type dog , just bit bigger than a farm collie . it happened the one morning , the dog used to sleep under the coffee table in the kitchen , mom asked me brother to put the dog out for a pee etc , as it was early morning think it had been raining, but it had stopped, me brother called the dog out from the table , it wouldnt move out , so me brother went to grab his collar , an
  19. which aint nout, you may use bloody collie , carnt see the point of it .
  20. spot on rob, my dogs are kept outside, and i think it best, they got there own bit of space, dogs need that. And never under stood this thing about taking a bone of a dog or his dinner , let the poor bugger have it in peace/quite . ok people keep dogs in houses , and 95% time thats when dog bites happen , they get messed about, being put under pressure from there owners/ kids , there animals not humans , and should be treated as such , left out side in peace deff . regards any injury like been said muzzle it then deal with it .!
  21. fair point mick, how do you rate Miller , if the fight comes off ? suppose if it does, and Aj can put him away , people will say he only a bum anyway lol, from what i seen of pics of him he just big fat black bloke .
  22. would you say in general , that applies to alot of guard breeds .? i know you see few behind gates or on the end of a chain , that look impressive , and prob more to joe public, but suppose if somebody just wants a dog to bark or look the part, they prob wont mind . i was watching a vid on youtube about dogs, that not been trained in p/p work , and the dogs barked a bit , but never took it any further when the bloke, went in to the property , these by the way were bloke who was used to handling dogs guard type breeds .
