the flat coat, and golden have very calm sensitive temps, the curly a differnt temp , more sharper and the best guard of the 3 types, there was woman had bitch that went to our local boozer years back , and you wouldn't mess with that dog. she told me that they were very popular with keepers as a gun dog and they took them out at night as well, reckon on of them x back to whippet x grey you get good rabbit and odd few foxes pre ban .

n o way, we came from white tribes that had other countries mixed in them known as Brits , our skin colour white because of our climate , the blacks, browns came from the jungle darker skin for where they live , its as easy as that .!!

you know jim fro m up your way then, i had many nights lamping with him , when he had old snipe , i used work old Bryn then my 1x collie x grey , we had plenty of good bags back then, jim still as keen as ever, he got new pup now from , think its from snipe breeding . -
they ought to sink the feckers , once every crossing goes down to bottom of ocean and there (not) fished out , they might not be so keen to keep trying .!

just read the article and few good points , but thinking about it , maybe if x back to whippet x grey =grew , would deff drop the bone down bit more and get prob 23-25in dog from this x , as appose to straight greyhound , just a thought .? and always thought 3/4 running dog x lab would make good lurcher brain and speed .

and me above, might have pint 1/2 in a boozer by me with her in doors , then back home few more cans of lager watch telly, dont really drink much now i am older , it knocks me guts about real bad , so not over doing it , want to feel ok rest of the week ,

nice little dogs, why not use the wire hared type, seen few over here , not workers but deff the coat would give bit more protection than the smooth , and this dog was standard size looked fair bit bigger than small ones

kangal a proper one have thick coat than them dogs , you might get few out xs , or the other breed thats over here is the ( Anatolian Shepherd ) these are more the show types .My mate goes over to Turkey few times is wife from there , and he sees these big dogs when he goes there , but the ones are proper Kangals up in the mountains , big rough haired things and dangerous to strangers , they never see anybody only the shepherd , and it very rare that they let the breed go outside there own country , only the show type (A/S) get used .

nice looking bitch that , there dogs like her very similar in Oz, and few in USA , in Oz there pit x to greyhound x mastiff , but 10 generations going back. In USA there pit x abd x hound , both types do well on wild pigs , but the stags (usa ) kill yotes , i and kill few mountain lions as well 2-3 dogs most times , there are big dogs 30in 100lb , like your rough haired hounds you got in that other post , but lot bigger , and have apbt in there genes as well these type dog are old lines from what ive read .

we done all that before, in London i went on ever march , was 1000's there the Ban still happened .Even if Labour got back in, god forbid , all what would happen they put more restrictions on the fox hunting ( horse back) but the old running dog what ever the x , or the so called new dog lol , they make it hard to own a lurcher , more so if it was smooth coated with bit of size to it, all this is just another nail in the coffin for people that like to own/work a running dog .We really are minority regards hunting with dogs, before the ban alot of people joe public werent that bothere -
i know what you mean mate , as 1x pit x grey would have been my 1st chose , thats for bit of lamping, or bolt from a dig, you need that extra gear true, but i was going on what the appearance of the dog, and it looked like nice shape etc i wouldnt have one , be either pure pit like i had or 1x pit x grey, but seen few good 1x staff x greys from the black country , some old lines of proper old type staffs still there ,

i seen couple few years ago , i was going to get me a pit bitch of a bloke, and his mate had very nice dog there of this breeding, real nice shape to it, ok not speed machine like lot of lurchers , but quite racy of it breeding , was used for around holes etc , suppose its what you want from a dog, and how your going to use it , if used for what they bred for a good x ., and i always liked the look of a pit or pit type anyway .

thought it was, do they ever have any probs with other sharks with the divers ? i think of read it only tiger shark, bull shark, and few hammer head sharks , and great white thats very dangerous to man, other types will leave man alone, but i be no good in sea, as it one place on earth that you carnt really protect your self from attack , not like on land run or get stick , brick anything to protect your self .! i with ken on this i shit me self lol if i saw bloody big fin coming through the water lol

looking great mate, my mate bitch like tank, she bust your legs up if she hit you . she 3 i think, very switched on now great guard dog, you have to shoot her to get past her . and he had to keep on top of her, the breed a dominant type , the males are worse than the bitches , she plenty big enough to stop any bloke no prob she 50 kl males go up to 70-80kl , i dont think you need all that size plus they get unhealthy when they get to heavy , that with most big breeds .

he no legend Ron lol, there prob loads out there as good or better mate . All i ever wanted from a dog was one that had decent brain, good feet/ coat good stamina , and fair pace, and bit more grit than a collie x , well for me a 1x gsd x grey fit that bill . he never be for everybody, he dont look like lurcher for a start lol, which suits me more so this day feckin age , when fit he run all night, great temp with people and dogs, a very loyal friendly big powerful dog. he just nice dog to be around that all mate, as said there plenty worse , and plenty better .!

yeh heard few times them ripping a dog up, even though there small still do lot of damage , my big dog chased one through a wood and he dived about 7 ft in the air to grab it on its head, that was good size male, it landed in the bushed and just vanished in the wood , Buck went after it came back about 8-9 mins later but nothing , but what great bit of sport , heart in mouth stuff for few secs , carnt beat bit of mooching in the day, more so with my type of dogs there great in cover and great finding stuff

you gone off the 1x whippet x pit then, what did you want more size/ strength in your dogs then going to a 1x pit x grey ? some 2nd- 3rd gen 1x pit x greys are racey and strong, nice pup what size will it make 24-26 in 60-70lb
