  5. yeh gnash, once the show people get them, any breed suffers , just like bulldogs really, look at show bred staffs, or ebt none could do full day work, where as game bred apbt , bred for work not for looks. yeh gwp or the smooth type from working lines be good dogs , like i said earlier a woman had cracking black lab bitch , racey work all day, and her males were simlar not over big and work all day , i seen them (males) on other days on the shoot , with any type of dog x breeds =lurchers , or peds get a pup from proven parents .
  6. well , go for a male pup, make life easy on your self, put the male lurcher pup in with your older lurcher, the pup will bond with him , it did with my 2 males there mates , been like it for 6 years, Buck 6 Bryn 11 , nice gap between them , Buck does all the work now, it be the same when you get a male pup , no prob .
  7. spot on , 2 company 3 a crowd , and its very true . i had terrier and a lurcher lived out side no probs, then i got a lurcher bitch , as a back up incase the male lurcher got hurt . feckin hell it was nightmare , the terrier wanted her for him self , they started fighting him and the lurcher big time, had separate them, and even out side they havea go and with other dogs. big lesson learned from that, i only keep males now , and no probs as yet , the odd growl from Buck at Bryn, Bryn still top dog, but dont think it be long before Buck takes over. i only keep 2 dogs at one time , when old
  8. the ones ive seen knocking about on me walks, were all over weight, prob more so than the black,yellow , andunless from proper working lines them 2 not much better . ive seen few real nice working labs and most were black ,the odd couple yellow, but most were black, were i used beat years ago couple guns had nice black labs , and woman had nice black bitch lab racey type, and great looking sprinnger male dog old type strong dog , both for picking up .

  22. was told today by my mate, they can get bigger your right , so yep it was good size , and when you think about it, roe go 45lb and bigger type deer, so 30lb muntjack not really that big, but felt it, felt it though falling over bloody branches/logs with across me shoulder lol
