Even for them breeze they need pace, you need atleast 1/2 running dog in the mix to catch well, never seen the sence trying to make a lurcher slower, when it job to catch fast quarry.

thats true, and not all are over big, you can get few racy ones, and say if the other dog is a whippetx grey x pit , you get more variation ok, but deff get lighter type dog . but as you say its the dogs used some bulldogs get 20 -22in , get small greyhound if poss, you get nice size dogs from them. the ones i seen back in the 80s were 1xs and quite racy , not bad in the lamp , fast enough , but not great stamina, but alot of bullxs are the same unless you had another breed, either , collie, or saluki, drop of bull in lurcher x lurcher is another good type lurcher.

They seem to be out crossing them to gsds, to get bigger stronger dogs, I've seen couple bel mals 26in 75lb, bel mal norm dont get this big, it deff the gsd in them, and just look these dogs heads, mals don't norm get stro ng heads like that. The other thi d to it as well, think it was done to improve the gsds hips HD and shoulder probs in the breed, as mals are better being smaller dogs. A pup from them 2 you deff get good guard dog, as been said with a y pup it's a gamble how they turn out.

on the money mate deff, ok people choose to live the life they want, but when it affects other peoples lives , it different ball game. if i was to start leaving, human shit, by my neighbors edge, old junk, bags of rubbish , etc i have the counsel, cops , knocking on my door, or if didnt pay counsel tax, water rates, or my mortgage , if i had one ,i payd it off , i be booted out of my bungalow . seeing programs like them , and other similar , make me dislike them more, nobody wants to conform to society, but we have to or society would break down if we were all like gypsies / travel

thats always the prob with a 1x mate, you never really know who the pups will throw to, the running dog, or the base blood .? i was lucky maybe with my 1xs, bryn 25in , Buck 28n , bryn dam was= greyhound was 26in i think, collie 23 in there abouts, Buck dam = gsd 24 1/2 in , sire razzmatzz greyhound 29in . i think i had good chance with to get a dog with height , as gsds are norm 24- 27in , think collie can vary from 21 in to 25in , maybe its the same as kelpies , acd think not as tall, might be wrong prob phil Lloyd on here would know more than me lol.

I didn't know that about the breed, only what david hancock write, and he never tested the breed like you have prob done, so I rather you see the breed for what it really is. Do you know if and where then they breed good temp and healthy Neos? As most KC. Neos are very unhealthy not long lived dogs and pay over £1800 and dog dead at 6 year old, ?

Just read about the cane corso now they slimmer type than a neo. But very good guards, and from what is said far more healthy than a pure neo. Surely these would make great Bandog when out x to apbt, do they use this x , David hancock who wrote about mastiffs said, the cane corso was very good breed and hopes they don't get ruined by the KC, but as yet there not over popular?

raw mince chicken/ dry meal 24% protein , topped up with bit of venison , thats what my big dog had tonight, and old bryn, funny enough, i getting low on the raw mince chicken , i will bell them tomorrow .!

I am surprised they never tried a bull mastiff x apbt? Now by me in the that w - ton by the black country, old line staffs were popular simlar to pits of to day well blokes were useing bull mastiff x pits, just as guard dogs, and quite few were not bad guard dogs, but still bit sharp with other dogs. It was about the apbt started to get banned in England. But these deff were improvement to a pure bull mastiff, as good guard dog, but alot more healthy. It a type x I like, and if left lurchers. I deff would have one, but suppose it be hard getting this type x today ?
