    I know they make great pets true, I rather get well bred bulldog. Still good pits out there, I like all bull breeds if bullmastff s were more healthy I prob still be with them now, instead of lurchers. If I am honest!

    not as yet mate, but wouldn't mind pup out of Buck , if was going to get a lurcher pup . old bryn 13 in sep, Buck 8 in august , so maybe i might have one more dog left in me before i pack them up, i am 68 in august , still out every day couple hours, so not bad fitness , there load worse than me at my age lol , but like say if for work deff get a pup or dog from working home, if pet rescue center .!

    think i right in saying, dont they, castrate male dogs , and spade bitches in rescue centers , bfore they let them go up for adoption ? and your right dont say nothing about working them, or if they going into kennel, my son got little woody the jack x from rescue center 4 years ago he had his nuts off, i got him now , he very lively even with out them lol , but i think in lurcher more so than most breeds there need there balls, as most lurchers ive ever met all had nice easy temp, and alot were sensitive natures , it takes the fire out lot of them, thats why they put weight on. know alway

    top thread paul , well thought out as well . , here another tip for folks , when choosing a pup from a litter . find out what you want 1st dog or bitch, 2nd one you chose the sex, get the pups out on there own, away from there litter mates, you soon see what there temps are alike,= timid, bold, sensitive , middle type temp for me it be either bold pup 1st, then middle type 2nd. i know sometimes , you view a litter say 8 pups and say 5 spoken for , then its hope for the best with there temps, but if parents are proven dogs at there quarry , so at least they could do there job with bit of lu

    Just like that 1/4 pit 3/4 Grey I had on the post, daft when not working, but switched on when hunting, I like drop of bulldog in lurcher your right it gives that bit of grit. by big dog Buck the same type temp great with people and dogs, but different temp when he working he full on.

    whats the gspx on foxes like ?, i know the gwpx have good reputation on teeth , a keeper i knew few years back had a pure gwp, was good dog , no bad guard dog as well, we had couple fox drives , pushing foxes through one day, and his big male gwp killed a fox not far from me , deff got lot to offer with coat, drive in them .

    thinking the same gnash mate, he left a big mark on people , a brave thoughtful man old and young put his life on the line for the country , not that many about today. the one thing came home to me is, from this virus thing , is how alot of people really are selfish, people panic buying etc, we live in a world where it dog eat dog. and even when this virus thing more under control, i never forget when the poor nurses who been work all night couldnt get no food next day shelves were fookin empty . it made me see other people in very different light mate , old Tom deff a minority to what

    now that true, you got to bond with pup 1st, if you like the animal you put that bit more effort in , i think as well , when people buy in mature dog , and things arnt going well , and not bonding to a dog can make that much harder deff. i not a person , who atkes to these very sensitive type dogs and deff not puppys , i like a quite bold pup, but if mid type temp i could live with that.

    as above , if you was after a pup, or another dog to bring in, what do you look for .? Well for me , 1st is temp , no point having the best catch dog in the world, if its scared of its own shadow , or if the fecker wants to fight every dog it meets , or worse it use it teeth on people, i had the later kelipex collie x grey bitch was nightmare with people/dogs, so i know what great temp in a dog means deff . 2nd size , now this not set in stone , as you get small dogs as good as some big dogs, same as sexes , you can get great bitches and great dogs, for me i just get on better with males,

    no mate, had bike me self couple years, then went to cars, i always like them kit cars, and Morgan sports car , prob struggle to get in a low to the floor car, i get in not get out that easy lol

    haha like it lol, its funny really because, i do the ton on a bike, think nothing ofit, but get on the back of bike sombody in control at front, i the same carnt wait to get off, i the same in the car with my wife, she crap driver i think, and i never feel safe with her at the wheel, suppose like alot of people i am crap passenger lol

    yep cracking bike, good rep on them as said reliable and fast , inever passed me test back in the 60s i just rode bikes i had 250 BSA starfire , but rode bonnie few times of a mate. suppose at my age now 67, t pass a test fr big now, take lot of money and time , think its 3 type course i was told once, but even if passed wouldnt spend alot on bike, but 2nd Ducati be very tempting to have haha , still i can dream as they say lol

    yeh i know what you mean mate, put there patches on there back, and some think there bruce lee lol . i n wolves , they had about 25 in the chapter , the couple i knew were ok, not in your face , but could deff look after there selves, but you fight one , you fight the chapter , which fair enough , they stick together , you got to give them that deff . not just a thought the other day, started to see few bikes back on the roads, but never any angles , even if they covered up , it mainly weekend Harley riders , or fast type bikes on the road that ive seen, i moved 45 mile from

    used to see few knocking about my old birth place W-ton, i know couple back then in the mid 80s they had a chapter there. not seen any riding about for ages, on the roads well before all this lock down stuff, see lots of other bikers , my brother a biker , but likes the fast type bikes, he dont like Harley's think there like tractors lol , there ok but my favorite bike was 650 Triumph Bonnie they were a class bike
