just reading the 1x beddy x greyhound post , got thinking the main thing comes over to me , is the lack of pure beddys that actually work, meaning earth work, that comes over from the post. well why not use a well tested pat , on say good whippetx grey bitch , just nice proven type lurcher , i reckon over time you get a uniform type lurcher , say 23-25in 60 lb dogs , that catch most stuff mooching / lamping, it deff be worth a good punt. after all they used apbt in the late 70s to greyhounds , and lurchers, and these types lurchers proved very successful from there on . just a

true Dave , most mid- large dogs , finish height 10-11 months , weight can take up to 2 years or bit more . my bullmastiffs i had and bred , there simlar size in height s ridgeback,or should be ? , that 25in bitch on average , dogs 27in bullmastiffs weight form them bitchs, 80lb - 90 lb, dogs 130lb , ridgebacks prob 80- 100lb there abouts. Buck my 1x gsd x grey got height by 10 months 28in , but took good 2 years to hit 90 lb , his shape changed totally at 18 months , then he found his legs , good pace and clearing 5bar gates she looking well mate .

fair point mate, yeh its a business and try to make it pay, and poxy rabbit getting caught etc dont help your job. ive never really liked running a lurcher through sheep , because few times ive been after a fox, and the bloody fox is slinking about by the bloody sheep, so the dog carnt get proper run, what happen the got in the way when me dog tried to make a strike. i try if i can keep calling the fox away from the sheep as much as i can , hold him back , then try a slip, hopefully , we not far from the next field . ok the fox might double back to the field, or make a run to the other field,

You right mate, when your sister says on the phone, her son, who big strapping 6ft 3in 16 1/2st bloke, carnt get his breath and using oxergen mask, you deff think about this virus in very different way. True mate, yeh I do walk slow by them, and it seems to make the dogs do a it the same, but you are right a dog like Buck on the move, a farmer would shoot him there and then, I get lot of people clocking Buck never mind a farmer.

Just like to show the dogs, few sheep once in a while, both are sound with stock, but with lambs, it never hurts to show a few, and as Buck bumps In to far more stuff than old Bryn does, it good thing. Woody on the lead as wouldn't trust him around sheep, cattle, horses the little shit, he was rescue dog before my lad had he about 10 I think

Well. Went to the shops today for my paper few other things milk/bread,only me as customer with gloves on, and face covered must have Been 30 odd people shopping going in and out. The shop staff, fair play doing the right thing with distance marks, most with masks /gloves. I've said on here before these people must think the virus, dont come by Hereford /border.well had some bad news yesterday my nephew got the virus now, in hospital on oxergen mask. make sense that, alot of the pit dogs weren't over big , Richard strattion books , what ive got always says the best ones were 30 -50 lb , and the pit men didnt like to keep big dogs in the old days, a 45lb pit was a hand full he said never mind a 60lb one lol

thanks for the above , what size pits do you think make the best hunting dogs, what i read the game bred ones weren't over big 30- 50 lb , you get 60lb ones but on average 50lb dogs seemed to be popular from what i read, but as you said good apbts come in all good sizes 30-60 lb

yeh the apbt from game bred lines, make very good alround hunting dogs, bit of pit in any type dog had guts, drive, stamina. funny you speak of the staff, as back in the 80s i seen a very good 1x staff x greyhound Tug , he tackle what ever was in front of him, it was seeing him work made mew ant have bullx greys , these staffs though were from old working lines in the black country west midlands , where i am born/bred . these staffs we had when i was a kid, where tall/leggy/ strong dogs , more like your apbt of today , prob these were the type that went over to the America , that

Spot on Keith, I tell you what, OK we are in old club now, but fook me there real selfish twats out there mate deff. Just look at the panic buying, with them nearly all the shelves are empty, these twats get in 1st.
