  4. i would have thought , that pups with a bitch, would pick up , some of her traits , regards temp . like when you go to see a litter etc, norm if the bitch friendly / confident , the pups seem more relaxed around people , maybe i am wrong lol, but i always thought the bitch would have bearing on the pups temp from her own , so its the bitch as much as the dog, regards personalty .!
  5. come nov , you saying got to travel, as not many rabbits by me, leave let them breed a bit , if a farmer wants few thinned out , just shoot few with your gun , that way you still keeping the farmer happy and he know your still out there getting few . some areas hold lot of rabbits , around there dont , ! theres few but not over run with them .!!

  9. well you keeping the line tight Dan, and both good proven dogs, prob the best way to go .Do you ever out x to a pure greyhound , or a deerhound , more so the greyhound to had bit more speed , or do the stag line you keep hold enough speed with every generation . Just curious thats all Dan , as over its either lurcher x lurcher , or pure running dogs used greyhound, whippet, saluki, deerhound , back working breeds collies, terriers , etc

  12. i seen the other day a big akita on me walk, some young lads got him, my 2 dogs kept well away from it lol , it had that look about it in it eyes , that it would bite you person or dog you deff. and it was massive got big bone to it, feckin big head, dont know much about them, but i reckon if you tried to pinch anything from where it lived you be in trouble deff, ok some scum would shoot it poison it, but your average thief that are opportunists would regret it going there i seen the other day a big akita on me walk, some young lads got him, my 2 dogs kept
  13. it dont look right , the yote either been injured before , or it one dropped out of a bag , either way the abd killed it to easy, as to what Dan said regards yote fighting, hard to kill animal , well something dont sit right with the vid , same as the dropped wolves with eagles , the fight seem to be taken out of them well thats how it looks to me . !
  14. I don't personally but sure folks use them here and there. They're not much good on coyotes though. Even the 3/4s are too slow to be of much use. My buddies that have fooled with em say they get fast enough when only 1/8th bulldog in em. I had one but he was not of much use. He was ok in the speed department but he wasn't much on the killin part. He did 1 single though so I was pretty happy with that. Over a short time though he softened up and then he pretty much quit. Coyotes bite very very hard and they make a lot of dogs quit. Its just all part of it. Edited to say that the one he did
  15. i remember the 1st time my big dog , seen a alpaca , there were sheep in the field, and couple of white alpaca's that were not over big , he looked and took no notice , same as my old dog . i had to then walk a lane that as few cars go down it , so put both dogs on there leads. a tractor was coming down the lane, so got in close to the edge , when all of a sudden a big brown/black thing came trotting to the fence , i wasn't proper looking as was keeping a eye on the tractor coming towards me . The big dog Buck seen this big thing and nearly pulled me over the feckin gate to
  16. sounds a great read, i've got it should be great read, when i read it , another i've got is (easy meat ) by Peter McLoughlin , not read it yet but it all about the grooming of the white girls , by the muslim men , that came to light now .!!
  17. yep deff mate , a gsd will bark and bite , they are very good if you get one from good working lines, most are E/Europe lines, but the Akita there something about them , they quite compared to alot of breeds , but there the type bite 1st , then maybe bark, after and that's a maybe lol there good with out crossing them
  18. spot on it really makes massive difference to the training , because your pup will see the other dogs , chilled with the sheep, and it will follow fact . what i do as well , is train them in with the sheep off the lead all the while , just few sits and short recalls , with the pup, it will be by the mature dogs , it piss easy really. i do the same with all my dogs, and it works as done for 30 odd years
  19. i seen the other day a big akita on me walk, some young lads got him, my 2 dogs kept well away from it lol , it had that look about it in it eyes , that it would bite you person or dog you deff. and it was massive got big bone to it, feckin big head, dont know much about them, but i reckon if you tried to pinch anything from where it lived you be in trouble deff, ok some scum would shoot it poison it, but your average thief that are opportunists would regret it going there
  20. fair point that, if they want to get in your property , they will, they do the above , or shoot / poison the dog.I was watching a vid on here the other night, about guard/watch dogs, and they (trainers ) done few tests on dogs that supposed to guard the property , ok these weren't out and out guard dogs just pets , when the blokes went in the property the dogs barked couple of times and that was it , lol, a gsd was prob the best , but they soon won i over. i think its was because the blokes show no fear, and they were wearing dog protection suits, so that gave them no fear as well
  21. i thought you got new egg head to replace kevin lol, i love program
  22. he brought a tear from my eye.... The b@stard you have to give it him, like him or not , but got presence on a stage , i like his music and his act
  23. Maybe not but ive ran dogs 35 years on everything in the UK and know a jacker when I see one mate, Watch a video of Dan Edwards dogs running Coyote Deerman right what he says , there dogs in the UK that will tackle the quarry over here and alot will do it solo , so people like deerman etc are breeding dogs to do those quarry. So lets say Coyotes were over here as a quarry, you can bet that the blokes over here would try to breed a dog that got the balls to go into Coyote , regardless of it getting hurt , otherwise why hunt a animal if you know your dogs are holding b
