I wouldn't hang it too long, it doesn't need it. If it's cold outside, hang it in the shed till tomorrow, should be fine. I prefer goose to turkey at xmas, much , much moister (is that a word LOL). Freeze the giblets in a seperate bag, saves time later. I've still to shoot a goose this year, not the traditional way, but when they go on the farm to graze, just drive up and nail one with the rifle. Benefits of farming on the banks of the Tay i suppose. Will do one proper sometime with the the shottie in flight.. Good eating... Matt -

Hope your going to share that bird with you animals, theres too much for you.... Any way, assuming youve done the evisiration etc, wash inside and out. I would put on a raised rack in a roasting tin, because the fat is plentiful. Weigh the bird, rub the skin with salt and pepper and then cook for 20 mins per lb at about 190 Deg C . The fat is absolutely superb for cooking roast tatties, just pour off the fat half way through cooking and put it on your tatties instead of Oil. The gibletts make good gravey to. Theres a whole load of sandwiches for the week after too..... Plus goose -
Your still doing allright at that price, I pay more than that, and have done for ages. I dont know anyone who reloads .22 though

Had one 18 years ago on a HW 35k , with an appollo 4x40 Not very good past 25 yards, and battery life is pathetic. Sorry if that is not what you wanted to hear. Matt

For me, i would draw the line if it came up in conversation every 5 mins. You know, if he is try to convert you and everyone else. Is he trying to convert you? If he was, then i would respect his views, but ask him to respect your own. And change the subject of conversation, and hope he gets the hint. Or have i miss judged the question...

The westie we have sleeps on a kingsize double bed, under a 14 tog douvet between me and the misses. The collie has a bed settee in our bedroom and a blanket. Yes, i'm soft with my animals, but it's cold out there... Misses will be making them hot water bottles soon... Matt

I would imagine they have probably never been fed fresh meat. I would think this would be the first step in trying to calm them down a little. No one likes fighting on a full stomach. LOL Take things gradually. No rushing, respect is hard won and easily lost. Good living conditions, i'm sure, will start the ball rolling. Well done and good luck Matt

Yep, thats what i need. A little me time. Went to work yesterday at 7.00 am , got home 11.45pm, got up a 6.ooam went to work, got back at 6.00pm. Really should be decorating now, but having put in 2 days at the weekend, i really cant be chuffed now. Tomorrows not looking any better, meeting s all day, and another 12 hour stint. That will be me up to 40 hours by wednesday. Still 4 days left in week yet... Sorry to rant, but your day looks cracking....mega Jealous... Nice one Matt

Nice photos mate. There is no limit to the amount of photos you can post. but there is a limit to the total size of attachments, which is 500k. These are high resolution photos, so you would be best to resize them to enable more to be up loaded. One of you photos was 375K. So no room for another. HTH Matt
