  1. Well, I have lived on the River Tay now for 6 years, and have fished it twice. I would give my 'left one' to have just one of the Fenland Drains on my Doorstep. 20ft, 16ft, 40 ft or the Nene would be heaven for me. Every man to his own. Its just what i grew up with. Just messing about with a waggler and float rod, bit of piking, stalking Carp etc. Used to be a ritual of ours to go Piking on Boxing day on the 20ft. Nice frosty morning, 9ft spinning rod, box of Ondex, glove and a flask. You'll have me crying soon. Matt
  2. I dont no about turn-off. But the most unattractive part of a woman is normally the personality. It can make or break a girl. A woman doesn't have to be physically attractive to be attractive IMHO. But an attractive woman with no personality is a definate no-no in my books. That and hair in the wrong places, oh and the smell, and no sense and of humour, and varicose vains, and intimate fungal infections etc
  3. In my experience no is just part of the history in a relationship..... There are always these small hurdels to overcome... Matt
  4. in the inebriated state i was in, there was no chance of pillow even coming close. Were talking a beating of bibilical proportion to raise me from the couch after a lunchtime session....
  5. Heres a picture of my 8(nearly 9) year old twins, on xmas day, waking dad up on the settee, after a few, shalll we say... celebratory beverages.... I wish i hadn't bought them cameras now........

  7. That appears to be the most honest post I have read on this subject so far. Fact, spoken from experience. I was on the fence, but this is a resounding election winner. Nice to see people speaking from the heart.. Good post Rob. Matt
  8. There has been some very opinionated views about these scopes. I'm still looking for a scope of the same spend to replace my Nikko gold on my .22lr. This is the scope i intended to purchase, but thre were too many caveats.. So i've left my nikko on for now.£70 all in. I am trawling FLEABAY for a replacement as we speak. I reckon a top notch nikko diamond 2nd hand is the way to go, or similar. JMHO Matt
  9. Its renewal time for me so i'd be interested to opinions as well. SACS has it on price, but i've been BASC for a while Matt

  12. Your more than welcome Scot..Would love to come to yours, let me know when. Incidently if the member concerned that chose not to show up, after the effort we put in, would like to explain themselves, before they are named and shamed, please take the opportunity to reply to my PM yesterday. There may be a perfectly plausable explanantion why a 10 min toilet break on route resulted in a 40 min wait at the meeting palce for Scot and Myself... it is up to you. Matt
  13. For sipping or celebrating-Glenlivet 15yo, Dalwhinney, Balvenie double wood, glenmorangie 15yo. For supping- any Grouse blend, or at least bells :alcoholic: Matt

  15. Men shouldnt be such big babies, yes correct the dog is my main interest followed by the other 4 legged beasties , i am told hourly that i pay the dog to much attention & that she isnt to get on the sofa , i admit she causes a few words to be exchanged , but he as far as i am concerned he knows where the door is Good girl Kay! My ex used to complain about my time and attention to the dogs and their fitness etc. It was the last straw in a string of offences ... straight out the door and not getting back in now. Got myself a man who works his dogs now so there will be no fighting o
  16. Whilst dad was out on the ferts and guns all day, the kids went to an open karate competition in Ayrshire today. And it was a big adventure for them, they left Dundee on the train at 7.00am and didnt get back till 9.30. Quite along day for 8 year olds (twins). Anyway, i am proud to say that they both came second in their respective height groups in the free fighting. Not bad as the smallest has only done it for a couple of months and got put up against a 4 grade higher fighter. So, i cant take any credit for it, But a big thanks to Kevin and the other sensai's at Tenshinken Karate in Dund
  17. Woman are the same everywhere. The hierarchical structure for quality of care in our house is as follows: Woman. Dogs Ferrets Kids Husbands(That's me bringing up the rear) :realmad: When my dog gets in to trouble the wife warns him, "you do realise if you carry on like that, your dad will be eating his own dinner tonight..." I didnt treat her right when she was young, now i'm suffering, i was too nice... :black eye: Let that be a lesson to you young men..
  18. As i'm not sure what cut you have, I would probably casserole it slowly. I wouldn't take the risk in frying it, it could be tough.. Matt
