  1. I have heard that some people leave lines attached to the banks of rivers, with a strong monofilament, barbed hook, and a large split shot 12" from the hook and a bundle of worms. I presume that having baited such a contraption, they then visit later on in the day, perhaps in darkness and retrieve their quarry. It would seem that in order to be prolificc, multiple lines would need to be set. Never seen it my self Matt
  2. I feed rabbit, fresh or frozen. 6p a shot with the 22lr or free in the purse net when the season gets going. They get dry food and chicken wings if no rabbit available at £16 pound for 15kg from The Dog Food Shop in town, Dundee..
  3. Being serious for a moment folks.. I actually think you need help..Professional help. Now if psycological or medical help isn't suited, or youve tried and failed on those methods... As a minimum i would suggest talking to ITV and see if Gok Wan or Trinny and Sussanah are available. Having trousers tucked in to your socks is sooooo last year
  4. I'm surprised no one commented yet??? Are you not aware that posting pictures of guys at nightime wearing red wigs may offend some people. There are a sensitive few souls on here.. please take their feelings in to consideration.... M
  5. I'm guessing that hormonal responses are stronger than family instinct... Not unlike the wife in that respect... Matt
  6. Sorry to disagree with you guys, but i had two Hobs from the same litter, that had to be seperated due to normal seasonal humping etc. It was very violent at times, neither would give in. They had been brought up together since birth, and never sperated until their first season. Bitten necks, bloody ears etc. (sore arse LOL) I also have another Hob that had to be seperated from his brother for the same reason. (Which is why I have him) So it does happen. Matt

  10. I have to say, i'm not really in to that type of gun, but i can see that if it were accurate to yards then that would make an ace lamping tool on the rabbits. Especially for vehicle use Anyone know what the accuracy is like. I wouldn't think it would be any worse than Ruger 10/22. Similar tools? Different look. I could go on one if it worked out in the field. Matt
  11. LMFAO Mal Classic. Matt
  12. Quite simply, not being in to violence on a physical level my self. I would have puckered up and put the biggest wet kiss on on the lezzers lips i could. If that didnt make her let go, i'd of tickled her. One of the two would repulse her enough to let go i'm sure.. If it didn't repulse her....... well you know what they say about opposites attracting LOL.. Cant imagine the topic of discussion at the dinner table though... Matt
  13. Sorry to hear that. Never good to loose an animal, especially so young... Matt
  14. I would imagine a local gun shop would have some kicking about. I konw ours in Forfar keeps loads of bits when he buys in second hand rifes and splits them from the scope. Normally FOC as well. Or you could buy them from ebay if you kow length and thread type. Matt

  16. No where near that range, unlesss suported on bipod or other convenient resting point. .22lr only for rabbits, .243 is abit expensive to waste on coney, even if it does skin, gut and cook em for you. LOL

  21. I agree there are some very good stalkers that have no qualification or 'Badges'. What it is, is a minimum standard of training on which to build you own skills upon. A lot of landowners are refusing stalking to unknown people with out the DSC1 on insurance grounds. I.e Proven competence. It is aminimum qualification on all FC land now I understand, and indeed I have heard talk of DSC2 becomming minimum. So, no, it doesn't prove you have 10 years on the hill, but it proves you taken time to gain a very basic understanding. Same goes for a driving test, It proves you have the basic under
