  7. I bought a cannon 10d slr when they were still mega money. i think i paid £1500 for the body alone. i use it for work, weddings, and hobbies and have done so for 6 years. Taking over from my film eos 10 that i had for 10 years previous. It is only 6mega pixel, but prints out to A3+ no problem. It was a serious hobby for a while. And still forms art of my work I investsted in pro quality 24-70 and 70-200, a 105 macro, 2 pro flashes, macro flash spot meter etc and have never looked back. They only limiting factor is me, and i have had a pro SLR since i was 12. Build quality is very
  8. Last time i lost a couple of ferts, i managed to recapture one that night in a rabbit live trap, baited with a bowl of dry. But remeberif you leave dry, leave water. My concern with fresh is it may attract a fox which would set the trap off, and leave the trap off for the night. The wee lad was absolutely freezing when i got him that morning. Never got the second one back, but i still look for him even now. If its cold to night cover the trap and check early in the morning. Best of luck, worrying times i'm sure Matt
  9. Didnt realise you were in to fish Mack............... Also you could try a smoker, hot or cold, tends to remove earthy tastes and puts a decent flavour in them. Normally shitty tasting fish come from stockies fed on an artificial diet, grown too fast, in still water. Matt
  10. Thank christ for that, i actually had proper withdrawal symptoms and spent a good part of the day trawlling other sights to find freinds from here.. Thanks Ian Mat
  11. If it closing, then its a shame. Thanks for time its been operational Ian I've met a lot of freinds on here. Best of luck to all of you in the future. Best Regards Matt
  12. I would like to go back to Roswell, New Mexico 1947. Just to be out for a walk in the desert when....you know...THEY landed.. But more to see if anything WAS covered up.. If that was an unavailable time slot, then i would go back to Bedford 1990, to feed my best mate at the time, the most allmighty plate of chips, day in, day out for a month, lest hope, that he got a mighty case of acne. Therefore making the first love of my life not sleep with him..git.... Emmm thats got me thinking....
  13. RWS have a bigger grouping than Wini subs in my CZ. i did a post on it a couple of months back. But they would still be usable. Interestingly enough, i have never had one jam or misfire with Wini subs, and i use a good few... Matt Have you had any of the new batch of winchesters matty, also how olds your CZ? I have bought some the other day, seem to shoot fine, is there a batch number on them? is it sequential. I have recently changed my CZ, it is maybe about 6 months old.. Matt

  15. The two methods i have used, although not for Ferret boxes are:- 1. Use two very thin ply sheets, that bend easily, then laminate them together by gluing. It retains the bend very easily, because they are different radii and cant move once the glue is set.# 2. On the inside radius of the bend or thicker plywood, make regular cuts with a depth controlled circular saw, then apply glue to the cuts and bend. If you have cut an arc in plywood making the top and bottom, it should be easy to hold in place with a few panel pins, whilst the glue sets. unfortunately, i cant tell you the frequen
  16. yeh have these on the defender some times. Not for road work though.. I run two sets of rims. Awesome grip..
  17. He's going to the vet on Thurs, but the minute anything changes with him, he'll be over there like a shot. Best of luck Mal. Fingers crossed its just a bug. Matt
  18. Yes jim, wouldn't waste a .243 round on one. I prefer them uncoooked LOL. Just normally head shoot one with the .22LR. I will get out and do it properly this year, its just access to a decent dog i dont have, so i would never shoot over water unless a definate retrieve was available. I only shoot one or two a year on the farm for the dinner table. Keeps em moving of the crops. I wouldn't cover with butter to cook, theres so much fat about, it's never going to dry out, but you could baste if it were drying... Matt
  19. This man keeps dubious company, and should not be trusted..

    Me..LOL

  20. You need snigger , theres plenty of life in me yet young Willie You pair can snigger, but i think you avioding the reality that is, you are a match made in Heaven. "Pinkie and Perkie" Although i notice you've change hair colour again Kay!! Loves young dream I am old enough to be the lads mother They say you are as old as feel Kay, you could be 16 again
  21. Be careful not to confuse quality with quantity.!! Bigger scope doesnt mean better quality. You can £500 for a Swarovski 6X40 or £50 for an ebay 6-24x 56 I know what i'd rather have. Better quality means longer shooting time in borderline light conditions etc. Matt
