  1. Are you feeding dry at the moment as well? Matt i have been feeding them on dry food, liver and eggs and a drop of milk... You will find that if your feeding dry as well as the other stuff they tend to pig out on dry food so there probably simply not hungry Thats what i was thinking Kay. My misses puts dry in , because i ran out of rabbits, now they wont eat chicken, just leave by the beds...

  7. sorry for got to ask when i go to the police , do i ask for a application for a coterminious cert ? Not as such, pick up both forms for FAC and SGC. It will then ask the question on the forms as to whether this application is part of a coterminius application. Send them off in the same envelope with one encouragingly smaller cheque... Best of Luck Matt
  8. I feel i have the skills to shoot (some would argue). But i have never managed to successfully train a dog with anything more than the very basic of tasks. So to all dog owners , who can work in tandem with their animal, in Harmony so to speek. Where both parties benefit from and enjoy the job in hand, you have my upmost repspect. Matt
  9. Yes it is £60. It is called a coterminious certificate. The reduction in price is because you only get i visit from the FEO. Hence the saving in cost from the £100 an FAC and a SGC would cost indvidually. Matt
  10. Hmm, Good job i had a little more patience with your question on How to cook rabbits on the Living off the land post. You asked a question that some of us would take for granted, but you still got a sensible answer. Especially given the time and number of posts you have contributed. Not a criticism, merely a comment. Onwards and upwards from here. Welcome to Hunting Life
  11. Wrong ballance of constituants, i.e. protein. fat, fibre. Than that which is suitable for the longterm OPTIMUM diet for a ferret. I.e. not a mimic of its natural diet, which would be Rabbit, ie low in fat, high in protein. Same thing for not feeding cats dog food.. Wrong nutrient ballance. The occasional feeding aint going to mean a trip to vets, but would never plan to feed. Matt
  12. I wouldn't hang a rabbit, i may keep it in the fridge for a couple of days, but thats all. Remember to gut as quickly as you can as well. The guts have a habbit of tainting the meat quickly IMHO. This can sometimes be seen as a green ting to the skirts if you leave it a bit too long. As for cooking it, as long as possible in a casserole, as you would stewing steak, or boil first for a good while, (1.5hours) then strip the meat to put in a curry for instance, then cook as you would strips of chicken. HTH Matt
  13. from you first post, i would say he has got everything he needs!! welcome Matt

  15. We have the same sightings in the Carse Of Gowrie, Perthshire. In fact, a guy turned up on one of my permissions, knocking on a farmers door, on foot, claimimg to be sent by the SAS to find and kill 'Big Cats' .Needless to say the Cammo king was sent on his way........ (Sunday Morning at 7.00 am) allways a good time to knock on a farmers door. Needless to say it was added to my list of 'if you see it, kill it's'. Never seen it, nor has the farmer...... Haven't seen the cat either..... Matt

  18. Unbelievable, your point about the Sikh dress, is probably correct as well. Thats why i love this country so much.. Minority Rules..... I suggest that all patriotic british jump on a plane to foreign climbs and demand pork in a brandy sauce for dinner.... We would all get banged up.... That's equality for you Matt
