  1. Hi, I'm adding my weight to the CZ camp, Mines the Style, nickle plated edition, with a long barrel. Add a SAK moderator, and you have a seriously good, reliable, fun tool. Just about my favourite ever gun. It is permanently in my Landie if I am. Viva La CZ
  2. Ah, thought it a weird question. Matt
  3. Hi, any more than a two shot magazine in a shotgun, requires a firearm license. So it is unlikely that you will get anyone to help you in this matter. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
  4. I have a Silver Pigeon, 28" M/C Field. Good looking gun, handles supperbly. However, after a heavy month of nearly 1000 rounds on Clays and Vermin, started missfiring. Went back to dealer, 48 hrs later was returned as ok, i have only put 500 rds through since, and has been ok. Great wood, well made, but time will tell with reliability. Not thinking of changing it though.
  5. Best of luck in your apllication!! I have the CZ Style also. It would make sense to apply for a moderator at the same time as your FAC application, you well then have the full benefit of subsonic ammo. Mine likes winchester, so i stopped there. Others wil have there own opinion. But most will agreee a good work tool. A SAk only cost's about £35 and the combination is no louder than an air rifle. As for shotgun, when i first bought an over and under, some 18 years ago, i went the second hand route and got a Lanber. Excellent gun, and shouldn't loose value. Jus my opinion. mattydski.
  6. It is good on my centrefire, just that the application tube is quite large, and it should be applied through the chamber end of the barrel, with the barrel vertically pointing down to prevent crud going where you dont want it. Lots of room on a detachable magazine .243. not much room on a .22lr. I had thought of putting a heat shrink tube over the end, haven't had time to try it yet, wife's had me gardening all day. I take on board the suggestion to try another product, it just that it when it is in the barrel, it works well. Plus to be honest, it''s £8 a can, 25 mile round trip to the
  7. Hi, can someone suggest a easier way to put borefoam down a barrel that is smaller than the application tube. I seem to be struggling. No problem on my .243, but making a mess on the .22. Before I spend the next 2 weeks in the workshop fiddling, anyone got a simpler solution? Thanks
  8. I have just aquired (6 months ago) a pair of excellent binoculars from from my mother, which were my deceased fathers , who was a bird watcher. I keep them in my landy, and happen to know they didn't cost a fortune, less than £300 quid. They absolutely surpass anything i have ever experienced before , even in low light. The make is opticron, and i think they are 8 x 42. I have never leant them to anyone that hasn't commented on the clarity without being prompted. If you need value for money, i would defineately recconmend you try some before spending a fortune.
