  3. I speak Welsh to them and pretend i can't speak English..... however in the past.....I've asked to be put through to the Welsh language line, to be told they don't have one, then get put through to the manager, i then let rip with the 1993 Welsh Language act one chap said "but sir you speak very good English"...me "yes i know probably better than you do, but that's not the point is it"....i haven't had a cold call for a while now, no idea why.....
  4. Egrets: I very very rarely used to see one, there were at least 12 probably more on a bit of flood water i passed yesterday morning.
  5. Went out last Friday on the marsh in West Wales, ducks everywhere....all around 300metrs away! None came in to my decoys. Sadly! Did however see 4 rabbits on the marsh, not sure if club rules allow me to shoot them.

    RIP Geoff Capes

From Facebook, i thought he was an angler: Holbeach & District Angling Club Geoff Capes was the President of Holbeach and District Angling Club for around 15 years. He was regularly on the banks of the Hollands when he was a youngster, fishing with his father, Bill who was a regular at the matches all his life. Condolences to all the family. RIP Geoff from all at the club.
  15. Little mention for The New Saints 2-0 victory against Astana a great result for a small team, in small Welsh league.

  19. Last of the potatoes. Just emptied the compost bin added it to the veg patch and dug it all in, a month earlier than usual! A little bit of fishing left, then rough shooting and wildfowling until the spring. Cheers. Aled
