  1. Darcy said 3 day delay, and that they'd be getting sent sat, sun and mon latest?? And they're supposed to be recorded delivery with the deer book so surely they should be here by now??
  2. Glad to hear it's back, like Buster says it's gotta be someone that knows you and the dog to be so desperate to get it...
  3. Should be easy enough to copy them kennel designs and make some yourself for a lot cheaper. £300 is extortionate...
  4. Can't ask for a better start than that...
  5. Good post, nice and handy for the young dog...
  6. Good old tales there mate, did yous get anthing out of Nigger?
  7. Does this include the terrierwork 4 book aswell?
  8. Good article, like has been said I remember all these dogs off the old patterdale forum...
  9. The one I started at 10 month was marking to ground from 8 month old, a real early starter. He was a strong terrier also, so I thought he's wanting to go and he's physically strong enough to handle what's in there so let him go. He was in and out on the first time, just a bit unsure of himself but we got the result with him in the end, his second time to ground he seen the job through to the end without showing, a stiff 4 foot dig to a fox but he handled it, he ended up being a decent digging dog but having faults aswell, and died to ground at 3 1/2 year old.
  10. Earliest puppy I've entered was 10 month old, but I was naive back then, I wait till pups 14 month+ now depending on how forward the pup is, holding back a dog won't do them any harm IMO...
  11. Heard good things about that Jazz bitch, good luck with pups.
  12. It's something i've always fancied and being young and willing I think I'd give it a fair go, but I love my terrierwork (digging)...do you lads that are keepers do much with the terriers? Or is it all shooting and trapping to control the 'pests'?
  13. Sounds like a good spot, one I'd keep close to my chest...lol
  14. Had some good sport around the Catterick area, with big and little dogs. Is a tad hot in places though...
  15. When we're raking we let everything run. You can only kill something once, once it's dead you can't dig it again...
  16. Good going Stopend, I like the black dog, looks made for the job...
  17. I've only seen one lurcher go to ground as easy as a terrier, it's a mate's first cross bull/whippet, slightly built thing with a nice head on it. The things I've seen that dog do I wouldn't believe if I hadn't seen it. A real terrierman's lurcher...
  18. A very good book IMO, Dave Harcombe has a good 'easy to read' writing style...
  19. One on ebay for £200, It's only been out a year, will be nice to see what it's worth in 10...
  20. Nice even litter there Mik, be good to see how they turn out being so closely bred...
