  1. Shitbags, they're not animal lovers, they're people haters.
  2. Just keep checking, there's foxes everywhere, and there's a lot to ground now with this cold spell we're having. No good relying on other people to find work for your dog, get out and find it for him yourself. Good luck.
  3. I don't like the ex-army type cammo, but have a couple of deerhunter realtree jackets and think they're spot on, warm, comfortable and plenty of pockets.
  4. I've just had one made last week, I work in a recycling place so just got the metal shaft off an old spit that had cracked and the head off an old shovel, also a thick nut and bolt to weld onto either end. Explained to a welding lad who works with me what I wanted and he had it done the next day. He used two nuts though, he welded one onto the shovel head piece and left one on the bolt loose that turns so you havto screw them together then use a spanner to tighten the loose nut to the tight one, works a treat and lets you line the handle up perfectly. Only charged £15 aswell...
  5. How's the bitch bred? And what's the reason for the sale? Cheers.
  6. depends wich ray walker ya mean the one im thinking was a keeper an a bullying b***%*d good riddens to the dog theiving scum yeah an he got some shit back for bullying kids I've heard the same from a few different lads...
  7. Good size fox that Dabchick, It'd hurt me to kill a specimin like that, hopefully sired a few cubs...
  8. My mate lost his dog out walking on Friday afternoon, it's a black patterdale dog, roughly 4 year old, answers to the name 'Scruff'. Just a pet not a working dog. Any info please PM, reward offered. Lost in the Barmpton Lane area of DARLINGTON,Co Durham.
  9. It's not finding the difficult earths that are deep or have few stopends that are the problem, it's having the dog to go in the places and get the result IMO...
  10. I think it's a good gesture offering the lad a dig on your permission. Don't understand the 'depth' bit though, that's what the dogs are for...WORK.
  11. Good going...nice to see them get away...
  12. Always use nets when out with the terriers. Not to kill the foxes but just to have a hold of him before he's left to run, better sport than just seeing him out and away IMO...
  13. Only ever use my terriers for digging, beating stuff out of woods for the big dogs is our job...
  14. Good thread this. Out of interest what is it on the muntys that does the damage to the dogs?
  15. Badger digging 1st edition will fetch £100+ I'd imagine.
  16. Nice to get them this early in the season. Looks more like 0.4 than 1.4 though.
  17. I've had the same problem with my 6 year old lurcher since he was a pup, end of every summer the fur on the his back legs goes really thin and fluffy and looks bald, it stays the same all season then grows back around May time, only to happen again come Sept/October, I went to vets thinking it could be mites or alopecia or something like that and they said to try different things including aloe vera gel (which didn't work). I've also tried nu-stock aswell as aload of other things but nothing works. It doesn't seem to bother the dog or his performance so I think it's just one of them things. I'
  18. Too hot to dig and ground too hard to run the lurchers, hopefully get a good bit of rain fall this week...
  19. I don't think it's anything to do about whether your scared to handle the quarry or the quarry's too far up the tube, it's about seeing whether the 'draw dog' has what it takes to do it's job. Me and my mates don't use draw dogs we deal with it ourselves. I don't know many lads in England that do use them, seems to be a bigger thing in Ireland with the wheatens...
  20. I think it's more to do with getting sport for the 'draw dog' regardless of whether the quarrys right there or 3 foot up the tube...
